    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello Gang
Where should I place the temp probe for my thermostat?I think it should be under the radiant heat panel on the bottom of the cage.Also how should I fasten it down? It is a Boaphile 421D.Thanks in advance,John.

I just received my 6322D, the 6' Boaphile enclosure and I had Jeff install everything, RHP, 2 UTH, lights. When I was talking to him about the setup, he asked me if I was wanted him to drill the hole. I said, what hole? The hole that the probes will enter through, I said yes, please do. Well, he forgot so I called him and asked where to drill. He told me to drill a 5/16" hole centered 2" below the RHP and then push the probes through so that they stick out straight under the RHP. That' where he said to place them.

As for the 2 UTH, they are plugged into the small power strip which is connected to the double Ranco T-stats which he configured. The second UTH is just in case my room temps are too cool, which they are, so in order to heat up the far (cool) side of the enclosure we configured the cool end with the low heat UTH just to keep the temps in range. These do not have probes placed on them and are controlled by the Ranco via the small power strip.
