    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a stupid question. Ive been using Acurite thermometers in my rack to measure my temps. I just purchased a raytek infared thermoter for a more accurate way to measure different spots in the tub. Well my Accurite have been showing a hotspot of 89 to 92. When i checked it with my raytek it is only showing a hotspot of about 86 to 88. Is the temp difference because my probe on my Accurite is directly touching the tub or are they not that accurate?
 
I would say accuracy is the problem. Point the Raytek at the same spot and check the temp. several times, it will vary a degree or so. After you have used it for a while they are good for checking that things are working ok (heat tape plugged in etc..) but I would not rely on them being 100% correct. Good luck!
