    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi

I know this must be getting annoying by now, so this'll be the last question for awhile. I thank anybody who cares to answer it.

Could somebody tell me the appropriate temperature cycle for pythons, prior to breeding and such, as I've been told that if it is not the right temperature, the snake will produce bad eggs. Am I supposed to turn down the temperature a few weeks before winter/fall arrives, and then introduce the snakes to each other about 4 weeks after I reduce the temperature, so ..2 weeks into winter? Will this increase the chances of them breeding?

Thank you very very much, and I promise you that this is my last question for at least a year!

Rohan, rather than me give you the info from the top of my head again (and it be wrong), I'll tell you where to find it.  You NEED to get a copy of the book "The Reproductive Husbandry of Pythons and Boas."   That book has all the info you'll need.  It's a very popular/common book you should not have trouble finding it.  In fact, you can call Proexotics and they probably have a copy they can send to you today.  If not, I'm sure you can find on line.  Gheesss man w/ the screen name of "MR PYTHON" I'd think you sleep w/ your copy under your pillow. <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
 
I went on Amazon, one was $40 US, he wouldn't ship over seas. The other 2 were $140! Thats around $280 Aussie Bucks!, I can't afford that at the moment, i'm only a little boy

Yeah, I'm in Australia. You guys don't know how lucky you are with all your different pythons you can breed. There has not been one Albino Python born in Australia. It is virtually impossible to get them!

I only need to know about Childrens Pythons at the moment

I will look at a place near me that sells overseas book, or can get them in.

Rohan, that's funny.  You want albino pythons and most of us reading this over here would give you all of our albino pythons for Black-headed pythons, womas, anthills, lace goannas and damn near everything else you've got over there.  Oh well the grass is always greener I suppose.  I'll look up that info for you if I have time this weekend and get back to you.  Brian

STUPID LAWS!!!!!!  You don't know how tempted I am to rent a boat right about now <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>   But, I really don't want a girlfriend named Bubba so skip that.  Anyway the book reccomends diurnal temp cycling 90F during the day 70F at night.  It also says keeping the sexes separate can help your results,but it is not nescessary.  Breeding takes place in winter or early spring in Aust.  (when exactly is that for yall?).  It does not say you have to do a winter cooling(???)  Maybe it never gets cool enough over there for animals to go off feed, (again you'll have to research that).  Eggs incubate at 90F and 100% humidity.  Time til hatch is reported at 46 to 61 days depending on temp.  Hope this helps, Brian
