    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i'm looking for a list of snakes that will sit in your hands/arms and not move constantly. i have a bunch of corn snakes, REALLY docile, i can pet their heads and they are fine with it, but only 2 of them will sit still for more than a second.. and even then, only for like 5 seconds. i had a snake that wasn't a corn snake once, i had it since it was hatched, and after a few months, it was calm enough to sit in my hand.. and it sat there for MANY minutes, letting me pet her anywhere i wanted, but she died of parasites/worms... i got the medicine too late. anyway, her sitting still for a while was one of my favorite things about her. it was something i wasn't used to with the corn snakes. i hear that the tame ball pythons sit still pretty well, but what else is there? i've tried google'ing a million combonations of words, like "snake" "sit still" OR "don't move" and a MILLION others, but i havn't had much luck.. so i figured i'd try posting around on a few forums to see what the snake experts think. can anyone give me a list of snakes that will (after being tamed down to docile status) sit still while being handled (even if for a short time)? i'd really appreciate it, i'm trying to find my perfect snake :) thanks for reading this long letter, -Ryan

yes, i appologize. was a no-harm-intended mistake on my part, that has now been understood and will be prevented in the future. what happened was: i went under the "Reptile And Amphibian - SNAKE discussion forum", but there was no "general SNAKE questions" forum under that section, so i just picked the forums that my question might pertain to (boas, corn snakes, grounds, etc) and posted on them, and even then i made sure i didn't post on ALL of the forums, just the main ones that might be able to help me. i wanted to get the boa experts opinion, AND the corn snake experts, AND ground boa experts, and so on, and wasn't sure that those experts would be browsing the "General amphibian and reptile" section since that section isn't "snake specific" and my question Was "snake specific". also, i didn't think posting the same question on more than 1 forum would be a problem, as long as the question belonged in those forums and wasn't spam, but i've had a few people mention to me that i shouldn't post the same or simular questions on more than one forum or i'd get suspended. i Did think about it alot before i posted on more than 1 forum, and i tried to do what was right. rudeness wasn't my attention, i just sometimes interperet situations differently, but now i know though, and it won't happen again. sorry about that everyone :) -Ryan
