In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a small rack on order for my 3 BP's,
Three 41 quart tubs ,, it's by Beegerboxes
The belly heat comes from a 12"x16" heat tape
What I'm wondering is if I should try to get away
from using hides in the tubs.
The surface temp will be at 90 but I was thinking
without a hide the extra heat will circulate
around ,, helping to keep the tubs ambient
temp closer to 80 , or so I hope.
What do you guys think or know about
this ?.

I give mine one RBI plastic hide in the back, and the water bowl goes up front. On feeding day I put the hide on the heat. A few days later the BP's start moving the hide off of the heated area, I think they push on it from the inside. By the next feeding day the hide is usually bumping up against the water bowl and they're using very little or no heat.

Also some of my BP's - including the bigger ones - stop eating if they don't have a hide to stuff themselves under. Others don't seem to care and are fine with just the water bowl in the tub.

Uugg , mine a pretty much used to having hides, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to change what they are used to.
BP's or so fickle !!! , they can be pains in the BUTT
