In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Terry Lilley at Central Coast Reptile Research Center

By the way, Alexander . . . Mr. Lilley has claimed to have sold animals to Kerry King before, when it was flatly false. He may actually have in this instance, but I assure that him saying he did is NO evidence of such having taken place in reality!

Here is page six of the previous linked thread to show you specifically where that evidence can be found.

That should actually read, "I assure [you] that him saying he did is NO evidence . . ."

Nothing like poor typing/writing skills to make your attempt at communication miserable, Huh???

Two things.....
Firs off those are nowhere NEAR Bolivians. I have seen Hundreds of Surinames/Guyanans and even though they are super variable, they never even closely resemble Bolivians.
That is like saying A rosy Boa and Central American look similar. There is no mistaking them with each other. If they were BRAZILIAN then that would be a different matter as alot of the brazilians look like Surinames/Guyanan.
You stated they were supposed to be Bolivian.
They have no resemblance whatsoever to Bolivians. Sadly they are poor, porr examples of Surinames(or atleast what most people look for)

Also the second thing is this.....If they were sent as AMARILI. The CITIES documents should say so.
If it doesnt you can RISK getting them verified by someone with knowledge and a letter explaining the differences(scale counts, saddles, etc) between the two.
If in fact they are Surinames/Guyanese then he falsely stated a CITIES document. Which is a HUGE offense here in the U.S.
But you must be careful as you might get in trouble for recieving them. Do you have invoices stating them as Bolivian, etc????
If so you might be able to use that as a reason that you got defrauded, but I wouldnt show up and say hey these snakes arent these snakes.
Fish and Wildlife are sometimes very arrogant to the fact and may charge YOU for recieving false documented animals and you can get in big trouble.
On the other hand you can have him investigated and probably fined, sentenced for that.
I hate his ads that state he has 10 years of experience and has sold over 100,000 animals since so and so ten year date. I am pretty close to that number in half the time and I know people who sell that monthly.
Also he is proven to sell animals that he doesnt have and are others and sells them without my r others permission. Etc....

He is a scum bag. Period.

I hope all goes well with this for you and jsut be careful what you say to the authorities as they will sometimes turn on you, and also are capable of taking the animsl for evidence and then you see nothing but Terry in jail or fined heavily or something.

Good Luck
MikeB.

About 10 years ago a local breeder had a Imperator from Honduras and a C.B. dark Guyanan that he bred together. 16 babies resulted with 7 that were dead ringers for the pics you posted. The rest looked like Imperators. Co-dominant maybe? That's another issue.... They are not "text book" Bolivians. Thanks Ray G. HBR

Rob:
Yes, he sent the animals with CITES documents. They were shipped as Common Name: Boa Constrictors Scientific Name: Boa Constrictor.
That is exactly what it says on the permits.

Seamus,
I assume that you must have to have quite a bit experience to do a scale count? I don't even know which scale is what. I will look into it though.

Alexander,

Well that right there shows you that he misrepresented the animals. If they were Bolivians the CITES documents would state the exact subspecies. I would e-mail him and force him into giving you at minimum half of your money back as common Guyana/Suriname RD's are not worth anywhere near an Amarali are. If you want to go ahead and let him know about this thread. I would love to see his responses here on this thread. He would more than likely lie through his teeth as he has done in the past.

Mike B.,
No, the CITES Permit doesn't say Amarali. According to Terry USF&W doesn't recognize any subspecies and it is only BCC. I did look up CITES and they pile everything into BCC now (I believe). I remember looking over a year ago and they had it seperate...they must have changed it.
Can anyone verify this?
Yes I have a Invoice from Terry, but get this, I payed (this hurts) him $900.00US for the pair and he sends me a invoice for $750.00. He can't keep his own finances straight, a little while ago he had the same add in the Kingsnake.com for Bolivians for $750. But I have transaction records with Paypal and the Credit Card Company, which verifies that I sent him $900 plus shipping.
I feel really stupid!

I got an e-mail from him today, this is what he said:
"If you want to ship them back I will resell them and return your money or i can find someone in Canada to buy them."

Does he really want me to wait for my money until he sells the snakes?...and I don't think any breeder here in Canada is going to buy them!

Please don't feel stupid Alex. If you want to stay and eventually find your spot in this great hobby and business you are going to unfortunately earn your stripes like the rest of us. I have been murdered so many times that I can't even remember some of them. AND THIS IS PRE-INTERNET!!!!
Hang in there little buddy!

Rob,

Are you sure that they need to have the exact subspecies listed?
I will try and find out on Monday and contact USF&W.

I wouldnt

Send them back UNLESS he agrees to re pay you the $900 you paid him.And if he sent you a receipt for $750.00 thats morethen likely what he will try to pay you since his receipt shows that. Not saying he will but IMHO that would be what he would try. As suggested i would send him a copy of this thread , and let him respond if he feels he can. More then likely he would not post here sue to the many people that would inquire as to why he did the things he did . Thiscould be a tough one damned if you do damned if you dont ... no matter what you do i sincerely hope that you get what you so deserve.

I would recommend contacting USFW on Monday to verify for sure about the Sub species classification. AS far as I remember they are still recognizing the subspecies. If you need their number they are listed below. They can give you the number for the DMA.
