    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I really hate to say this again, but I would be willing to bet that those snakes are deceased, and this Parks fellow just has his head stuck in the sand, hoping that this all blows over (which it won't)...It really sucks that the snakes ended up with such a fool, and were sent with the best of intentions...really a sad situation.

Yeah, if you look back in the earlier pages you can see where I copied part of his (and at the time, partners website) Kern Something or other. Bakersfield is in Kern County. That would put him about halfway between me and Wes. Wes offered to pay a visit, if he was serious, don't know if he has the capacity to harbor mite infested snakes, nor even want to, but maybe could at least facilitate shipping. Maybe Kelli can shoot that guy and e-mail, and we can somehow pick them up or something. Or find out that they are already dead or gone.

when you give someone that kind of trust and they take advantage of you. Most of the people I have dealt with since I became active on the Internet have been great,.. but there are a few people that cause us to wonder if it is even worth disappointment and aggravation. I have come to the conclusion that it IS worth it because of people like you Kelli. I wish you the best of luck.

It's past the time to face the music on this issue.

Sorry to say, and you perhaps know this, but the guy either sold the snakes, their dead, or their in such a deplorable condition he is ashamed to send them back. And you perhaps do not want them back. His emails about feeding are only a joke and he is a pisser to even think he can fool you with them.

I suggest to offer him an alternative to compensate you for your troubles such as a payment plan and respectfully suggest that you do not fall for his promise to send other snakes to make up for his mess. He will mess that up again for sure.

Determine a cash value of the snakes (including the stress and headache he caused you). Send him a certified letter requesting to be reimbursed and then take him to court if he fails to pay you. If he does not pay you, and you receive no compensation for this, at least you warned several thousand individuals to stay away from him and that is actually worth it in a weird fashion but perhaps you do not see it that way as you are obviously sad.

In the meantime, get more snakes yourself and feel better about it.

Another update

I appreciate the comments. Dan, yes I am very sad. The WC '85 Mexicans are not replacable, they are one of a kind snakes that my husband risked his life to collect. If we could just get that pair back I would feel a whole lot better.

Well, thanks to Mr. Wes Pollock Steve and I will be getting two more of our bairdi back. Wes was kind enough to check in on Terry and see how things were going, as well as collect the two animals for us. I am grateful to be getting these two back. Terry has promised to ship the remaining snakes to us next week. I am not holding my breath on this although I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Wes, my husband is my Prince Charming but you are my knight in shining armour. We are so thankful to you and this will not be forgotten.

I will update next week and l let y'all know if the rest of the snakes get shipped back.
 
Well that is some good news at least! Way to go Wes! Did he rough him up at all? lol. just teasing. I feel awful for you and your husband that you are dealing with this frustrating, upsetting issue. Hopefully you will have more good news for us soon.
 
Well, this is somewhat unexpected as I try to do my good deeds in relative secrecy. I reckon I've been outed. Damn.

Anyway, it really wasn't a big deal, I was passing less than two miles from his house on some unrelated business so I stopped in and said "hi" to terry.

I REALLY think that in this instance he didn't start out being a bad guy but hit really hard times and had things pile up on him. THEN, instead of doing the right thing, he took the easy way out and ceased communicating. THEN the snakes apparently got mites, though the hows of that remain a mystery as it is VERY difficult to get ONE straight story or timeline out of terry. Perhaps he was just nervous that I was there, he is a little guy.

The two I got do not appear to be in terrible shape, have been treated for mites and appear otherwise outwardly healthy. One of them did poop last night and it looked normal so that one at least has been fed recently.

He, terry, did promise to send the remaining 5 snakes back to Kelli either next weds. or thurs. I hope he does.

On the one hand the guy is just a dumbass scumbag BUT, on the other hand, seems there are always at least two hands, it seems the world has really taken a squat on him which SEEMS to have lead to his downward spiral and while I am in NO way defending what he decided to do, I actually feel a SMALL bit of sympathy for him. He just made the wrong decisions.

Let's give him until next week before we start the crucifien'. As of now, while he deserves some buttkickin' I don't think he's a candidate for the cross. Not yet anyway.

I honestly don't know. Perhaps stubborn pride, maybe they really are dead. He insists they are alive and being treated and says that his "value" of himself won't allow him to return them the way they are.

I did explain, about 500 times, that the snakes not only did NOT belong to him but that the OWNERS of the snakes had relieved him of ALL responsibility for them and wanted their property returned. He kept coming back to this "value" thing that I just didn't get.

At one point I even asked him what he would want done if it were his snakes that were out on a breeding loan and were not being returned when he asked for them and he said that he would want his snakes back. BUT he, because of his "values", could not return them the way they were. He said something along the lines of - he couldn't feel right about himself for returning them with mites and skinny. I am sure he knew he was wrong but he simply would not go get the snakes, take me to see and get pictures of them or go take pics with my camera while I waited at his house.

Like I said before, a consistent understandable timeline and story are not his forte'.

The two I did get seem ok so I am hopeful the others are not too much worse than these.

We'll see next week.

At least two animals being returned is a step in the right direction and if the other ones follow there's no doubt it's directly a result of your efforts. I hope Terry returns the rest. Great job!

Anyway, I didn't do anything that lots of you wouldn't have done had you been presented with the opportunity.

Let's give terry a chance to make good on this mess.

At one point he did say he couldn't respond because he couldn't/wouldn't pay the ten bucks to post on the BOI. I told him all he needed to do was email Rich and tell him he wanted to respond to a badguy thread about him and there would be no fee. I even offered to do it for him while I was there. He declined that offer as well and I have NO clue if he ever contacted Rich.

I do know he has a job and works somewhat regular hours so hopefully, I guess, we'll hear more from him tonight. I seriously doubt if he was up to it last night.

terry, please note that no one has given you any real crap in the last several days. This is YOUR chance to do what you told me you would. Right now I really think you will, but I HATE to be disappointed.

Please DO NOT disappoint me. Please do not disappoint anyone else either.

Do the right thing terry, you know what it is. If you don't have the money to ship Steven said he would paypal you the necessary funds to do so. If you don't want to deal with him or Kelli, email me and I'll do it for them and they can pay me back. That way you're done and everyone is as happy as they can be.
