Hello,
I REALLY like the thayeri kings, they are so cool looking! I am wanting to get one or two ( or maybe twenty  ) once i get my other snake projects off the ground. I was wondering: do they required any special care that was specific to variables? or are they mostly like normal kingsnakes?
A local petshop got in a few once and one of them thrived while a later arrival died pretty soon after it was there. I figured I would research so that i could be extra prepared, I want to get something from Vivid reptiles, they have such beautiful morphs! so I would like to make sure I don't do something obviously stupid and kill it, so if you have any good tips like substrates and temps, i would be much obliged.
thanks!

I keep them the same as most of my other common colubrids; CA kings, some milksnakes, their cousin-the Grey banded kings. etc.

Pretty hardy and easy to care for.
