A revolution in thermostat technology is going on right now. I'm proud to offer the Digital Aquatics HerpKeeper and HerpKeeper Pro thermostats. Technology has finally come to the herp world folks - these thermostats offer the most accurate temp keeping you'll find, only 0.1 degree "lag" between the set point and turning on the heat. With the Net module (read below) you can access the status of your system from anywhere with an internet connection. You can also receive RSS, email, and text alerts if something goes awry (--ie if your set point for your temps are 90 - you can set an alert for low temp and/or high temp - useful for incubators and racks both). The best part - its easy to configure to do a myriad of things - Timers, lights, fans, heat, misters/foggers for humidity control, you can even set a Timer to turn on/off a light and/or heat source based on sunrise/sunset at a specific latitude (automatic daily adjustment).
Here's some basics and some pricing folks. These units are fully UL listed and come with a 2 year manufacturers warranty and free US BASED tech support for any problems I can't address personally.
HerpKeeper can run 4 modules, which means up to 8 racks if your not doing the network connection for alerts, or 4 racks with the net module for alerts - this is going to be expanding by winter time to 8 modules which means 12 racks w/ net module max.
HerpKeeper Pro is being released in the next 2 weeks, officially 8/15, but hoping to have my first orders in next week so the moment they are ready at the manufacturer we can get them. The HerpKeeper Pro picks up where the HerpKeeper leaves off. It runs up to 63 modules - putting the max at 124 racks w/ the net module.
Currently both head units (the brain) feature day/night temp transition (aka "Night Drop") and a firmware update is being made which will make these units fully proportional.
Here are some of the modules and what they do:
You will need a head unit (HerpKeeper or HerpKeeper Pro) for any of these of course.
PC4 - This is the plug module. Call it a power strip with a brain. Four plugs each of which can be individually controlled to do MANY things (turn on/off based on timer/temp/humidity to name a few). Total max load combined 1500w, two plugs at 1000w, two plugs at 500w.
PC1 - Not many folks will use this - but for those who heat their room this module connects directly to your wall plug and allows a full 15a (1800w), it also has enough capacity for a 10,000 BTU window air conditioner, if you need to keep an outbuilding cool during the summer for example.
TM4 - This is the temp probe module. It accepts up to four traditional temp probes for measuring surface temp (ie on your heat tape in your rack, or on an object below a heat panel).
AP1 - This is an air temp and humidity monitor. Great for cages and terrariums where humidity is important such as tree pythons and boas, amphibians, and more. Can set controls for heating and humidification. This is also a great probe to put into an incubator or to monitor "whole room" temp.
Pricing:
HerpKeeper 1 - Entry level w/ one probe and one PC4 - $139.99
HerpKeeper 4 - TM4 and 4 probes and one PC4 - $249
HerpKeeper 4 Net - Four probes, TM4, PC4 and NET module - $349
HerpKeeper Pro 4 - HerpKeeper Pro Head unit - TM4, 4 probes - $329 ---- ON SALE $299 until 8/31
HerpKeeper Pro 4 NET - $429 Add a Net Module to the Pro4
HerpKeeper Pro Breeder - HerpKeeper Pro, TM4 w/ 4 probes, TWO PC4 units, and an AP1 - $399
HerpKeeper Pro Breeder NET - $499 - add a net module to the Breeder module.
Add On Pack - TM4, 4 probes, PC4 - $229 -- On sale for $199 until 8/31
Please feel free to message me any questions you may have.
