    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello FaunaClassified members!

On behalf of the Chicago Herpetological Society, I would like to invite Midwestern members to ReptileFest 2018, the largest educational reptile show in the nation! For nearly 30 years, the Chicago Herpetological Society has been putting on this event in order to educate the general public about reptile conservation, research and captive care. Each year our exhibitors display over 200 species of herps, including the largest native herp display in Illinois! We also have displays from local nature centers, museums, conservation groups and some of the best exotic animal vets in the Midwest.

ReptileFest is truly an amazing show that allows people to learn more about these cold blooded creatures while dispelling myths and fears. Since the 1990s, our society has educated more than 100,000 people about herps and we hope to double that number before 2020! As a strictly educational show, there are NO live animal sales or trading with our focus instead being on education, activities and hands on interactions. This year, we are looking for new exhibitors and vendors (no live animal sales) as we are anticipating close to 10,000 participants.

If you are interested in exhibiting with us, we ask that you possess the following traits

1.) A passion for reptile and amphibian care/husbandry
2.) Experience with animal programs, interpretation, public speaking and/or animal handling (if you bring animals for the public to handle)
3.) A desire to share your knowledge with others, especially novice reptile keepers and people with fears of reptiles

If this describes you, contact [email protected] for more information on registering or visit the links below for more information!
