In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here is all the info i have to date.I bought 2.4 Ghost Dominant Hypos from KN Reptiles in the summer of 2003.In 2004 i breed 1.4 ghost from this group i hatched out 46.3% ghost the rest were 100% normal. Then i breed 1.0 ghost to 10 normal females i hatched out 21.5% ghost the rest were 100% normal. Now so far in the 2005 season i breed 1.3(lost one on the females to fatty hart)so far 55.0%ghost the rest are 100% normal. Then i took the other 1.0 ghost and breed him back to his daughters and so far i have hatched out 92.6% ghost the rest are 100% normal. Then i am breeding brother to sister and have not hatched any babys yet they are due in two weeks.
I am on the fence if these geckos are co-dominate or dominant, but they are at least co-dominate.I have not yet seen a super ghost if there is even one?Ghost are a hypo to super hypo with a pale yellow in color, the A+ ghost look like a leo in full shed, very nice looking.
I hope this helps you all out. This is what i know for now,but i am working hard on these geckos, there is something very cool going on with the ghost, and i plan to fiqure it out.I will be happy to answer any question you may have.To see pics of the ghost go to www.groundgeckofreak.com

Judging by the numbers provided above, I do not see this being a true codominant trait..... I still feel this is a very strong dominant gene..... Plus there is no visible "super" form...... If it were a codominant, there would have to be a super form that looks different from the rest...... Just a thought on my part......

Great info Jodi......

Just a side note.....

The test subjects are too few to come to any definitive answers at this time..... It will be interesting to see what others experiance when working with these beauties....

Thanks for the info Jodi. It was very infomative. I am wondering though if you have bred Ghost x Super Hypo and/or Ghost x SHTCT.

Thanks,
Jeff C.

Thanks for the update! I to can't wait to hear what comes from the brother/sister pairing. Please update us with the information from that hatch also!

Dang it Jodi, from the title I was expecting a scary story...I even made some popcorn before reading this! J/K I took a peek at the ghosts on your site, they are neat. How many breeding groups are you using this season?

Just what is the standard description of a ghost leo?
I've got 2 that I've been told are ghosts, though the parents are rich coloured SHTCTB's. I can't say there's no ghost genes in there family tree, but I've never had any ghosts pop up in other years when the parents were paired up with different mates.
The two I'm talking about look like a leo getting ready to shed - the colours are visible but dull. I'd post a picture but my PC was just reformatted (software problems are painful :) As soon as I can get my camera software and photo editors installed again, I'll try to get some pictures. If someone could post a ghost picture, I'd appreciate it, give me something to work with while I'm waiting for my PC to be fixed properly.
