• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The Humane Society soled me out!

I live out in the country because I value my privacy. If someone came onto my property, and took pictures of my animals.....well, I wouldn't be happy in the least, but if I'm not doing anything wrong, I KNOW my animals are cared for, and they aren't peeking in my windows......I view it differently than if I'm doing something cruel and/or illegal. I think everyone knows that I let my emotions get involved in the way I think about these things, but I guess though I feel more strongly with animals involved, I wouldn't view it much differently than if someone had stumbled upon, say, a "chop shop" selling stolen cars....just because they were on someone else's property looking for their dog, should it be ignored simply because it wasn't on their property, or they didn't have permission to be there? In other words, if I ain't doing anything wrong, I'm not gonna get all bent out of shape about it.

The only problem with that is, what if animal control decides you are doing something wrong with your animals. I've seen it a few times locally (and there were cases that the animals needed pulled and they didn't pull them) that animal control went in and pulled animals that were being cared for, because of politics in the area.

And don't go poking around sheds/buildings in West Virginia cause you're liable to shot because of all the people that steal all the ATVs, motorcycles, equipment, and anything they can sell for scrap metal now.

That being said, this horse was poorly looking and needed some groceries so I'm glad it is getting the care it needs.

i love how some threads get turned around. The bottom line is he saw an animal that obviously wasn't being treated the way it should be and he let someone know. He did the right thing end of story.
