In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy The Jungle Florida

Your vet consults on dead animals for free, but won't do the same for a living animal? That sounds strange since both will take up the vet's time so you'd think if one would be billable, so would the other.

Unfortunately, you have given them a bad review and one where you should take some responsibility for.

You failed to read/understand their ad. You entered into an agreement knowing the conditions before hand. The animal wasn't taken to the vet. The seller offered a free animal, if you paid shipping. You declined. You did in fact label this thread as a "Bad Guy" thread and not an "info" thread.

Sound about right?

Thanks Inwill change it

Robert, Can I change this thread or would I need to delete and recreate one?

YOU cannot do ANYTHING with this thread now, once posted in the BOI it is here for life.
Only on very rare occasions would a mod delete a thread and that would not be the case here I think
It is labelled bad guy by you and that is how it is stuck now unfortunately
However I think readers will be able to make up their own mind who is the bad guy here.......

I guess, I have made many wrong choices in this example, I did not created a bad review, i explained what happen. If I created a bad review when I went to asumption of why this animal was sick caused to be sick and explained there ethical practices on how what they did wrong. Than I can say I did but. I just said what happened and showed my messages. I guess now days we all have to spend more money to less of the product is worth. Thanks for replying your remarks.

I'm not convinced the chameleon died. You are obviously proficient in taking pictures/videos, it is suspect that you did not at least snap a picture of the dead cham.
However, if it did, I do not think you should be pointing to the ethical practices of others if you really did stand by and watch it decline and die without either taking it to the vet or starting a thread in the forums asking for help in how to care for it.

I hate to accuse anyone of anything I'm not sure of... but I'm wondering the same thing. I just can't imagine not being willing to speak to a vet while I watched an animal suffer and die, but then being willing to speak to the vet after the fact. The only reason to speak to a vet AFTER the animal is dead is to do an autopsy to try to determine the cause so as to protect your other animals or to obtain proof to assist with forcing a refund from the seller. Since the OP was only willing to do what was free, I'm assuming her reasons would have had to have aligned more with the later as what other benefit would there be to speaking to a vet AFTER the poor critter died? Unless, of course, that visit never took place.

Lucile, My thread started was to show, what I had to deal with, a sick animal and what people need to know before commiting to purchasing one with very little info on a company who I thought it was breeder and should have search more thourghly. This was lable wrong which I have should selected in the wrong area. If you read my messages in the picture. I have no intentions of bad mouthing company just demostrating what I went and give people an idea of direction what not to do. I see you are targeting me of lying. I do not hae to waste. I am busy managing a tranportation that is very sentiive dealing with raw products that depend to keeping or else they shut down. I am here to give people a view of my experience. Say what you want, I do not need to clear my self to you of who I am.

I have a question, can anyone tell me if the Jay Eaton from "The Jungle Florida" is the same as, Jay Eaton from the "Exotic Jungle"? I'm assuming it is, but figured I would ask.

Yes it is.

To the OP, you knew their policy when you purchased from them, Live Arrival and the cham arrived alive, they fulfilled their TOS. They offered to send a replacement, provided you pay for shipping. That was more than what they were required to do. It's pretty standard operating procedure for a replacement that wasn't DOA.

I don't blame them for withdrawing their offer once you stated comply with my demands or I will write a bad review.

You showed the vet pictures of the dead cham, post those here. You won't though ... as there was no vet visit, either when it was alive or "dead".

I am sending them a link of this thread.

SMH you knew she was sick but put her in an enclosure near a healthy animal..

Their was a divider between. At first I thought she was dehydrated but then realized she was serisouly ill had to remove my healthy Chameleon. If I did not have money spend on the sick chameleon, I would not let the second Chameleon get sick.

i understand if my chameleon was sick in a few days laters they send me a chameleon wand i pay for shipping, I understand that but this chameleon arrived sick so their is no excuse a chameleon drasticly will die in few days later. Second I showed the vet, the videos I had before she past. The Chameleon is dead why should I keep her. Their is no reason for me to esclate a dead animal to anyone now. Their is no point, I am not happy nor will it bring me any saticifaction to reaolve it now. Its okay send them a link. I am not insuating anything.

A mere divider is not enough for effective quarantine. New critters should be kept as far away from established ones as possible, usually in another room on another floor of your house.

I was just trying to figure out why he has two separate accounts.?

It's likely he forgot about that one. It was last accessed in 2014.

If you don't have back up funds for when an animal gets sick, you should not be purchasing a new animal.

I can see how unified this sellers are in here. Good to know now. Not purchase any from here. I never had any issues from other reptile forumz than this one.

Thank you for looking out for my Chami's.

I don't think you have to worry about buying from here, after reading this thread, there may be many sellers who will decline to sell to you.
You might turn right around and declare your purchases from them 'dead'.
