• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

The Michigan Captive Bred Reptile Expo

The Northfield Hilton Hotel, 5500 Crooks Rd., Troy Michigan.

Another vendor just added, Reptile Tubs.com. They sell housing for reptiles. Good stuff, we needed some more caging options. Evan

ECO will be bringing baby Angolan Pythons to the show! They are amazing! Will Slough will be bringing some baby blue x b&w tegus with him. They are super cool! It is almost that time. Anybody that needs any info let me know and I hope to see everybody in a couple days. Evan

How did your your show turn out? Will there be one next year?

Well, Saturday down, Sunday still to go. It went OK. I was very dissapointed by the unprofessional nature of several vendors. I hade a handful of breeders just simply not show up and not call to tell me that they were not going to show up. So unfortunatley I have less tables full than I would like. I really wanted the public to see a bigger display. But oh well, right.

On the good end, there are pinstripe, clown, pied, carmel, albino, pastel, ghost and many other ball python morphs to see as well as hypo, pastel, ghost and anery boas. Will Slough brought his hypo and anery Surinam redtails too! They are smokin! There are some absolutely neon bearded dragons, an awesome selection of poison arrow frogs, sulcattas, leopard tortoises, baby box turtles, shirts, books, cages, rack units and more. I am on the fence at this time as to next year but I really think that the business and hobby need the good, clean, annual captive bred shows to drive things. I will make a decison later this week on next year. Evan Stahl

Well the show is done and it was really a good time. It was smaller and had less door than I would have liked but things are kind of slow everywhere right now.

I thought you guys might like to hear about the contest results. The best colubrid award went to BHB Enterprises spectacular albino Western Hognose. The best amphibian was an unbelievably sharp bright blue Azureus poison arrow frog produced by Quality Exotics. The best lizard went to a smokin' hot colored adult red bearded by Bearded Dragons and other creatures. Best gecko went to Mike Detloff for his baby Helmetted geckos. The best turtle/tortoise went to Evan Stahl Reptiles for a big fat 50lb sulcatta tortoise. And I was extremely flattered to have received an overwhelming vote for best python/boa and best in show for my female yellow head, lavender albino Reticulated Python from Brian Sharp Reptiles. It means a lot to me. There were so many awesome animals. Thanks so much to everyone who made it. I hope you enjoyed it. Next year will be much bigger and better. Vendors that opted out of my show to go to two others that were this weekend told me Saturday that they regretted it because the other shows were terrible this time around. Evan Stahl
