In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Let's have some fun! Please come up with phrases used to advertise reptiles for sale. The most "uncreative" or repetitive one wins! As I started this thread mine will be "My loss is your gain" (or its variations! :) ) Come on, be as uncreative as you can be! :D

"Smokin *name animal here*" Best i have ever personally seen to date!"

lol. This one always makes me smile, only because, when i look at some critters under those lines... I think... Uh... ive seen better. But of course, its all a matter of opinion :D

"I'm getting out of the snake business" blahblahblahblah...
"I'll trade for other morphs"???

How about "pictures do no justice"? :IThankYou

RARE hardly seen morph........

Or in the subject line. "Het blah blah blah blah" To find out that it is only 50% hets lol

Or Morphs inside to only find out they are CH unproven?

I can go on and on and on.

"Must make room for new stock"

"1 Day Sale" (Especially if this is followed the next day with another "1 Day Sale")

Any ad with one of these words in it:

Taxes
Wife
Moving

You have to admit. They are the top three reasons to have to have a sell! LOL!

Doesn't that mean I couldn't sell this one last year?

No, That means someone had one like it. They proved it to be a normal. So, Now I have to get rid of this thing!

Thanks~ I've got the text for the next ad I run right here! I'll just run all these responses together and put a price tag at the end! LOL!

It's not a "for sale" gimmick specifically~ but the most overused only really STUPID people fall for that drives me nuts every time I see it (and usually proceeds a "sale" by the same poster) is

"Wanted~ unwanted reptiles!"
Or its many variations~ where in they offer to "rescue" your "Unwanted" reptiles........that they then sell next week.

Another Pet peeve~
When some jerk comes into chat and announces
"I've got _____fill in the blank_____ for sale!" (probably some poor "unwanted" reptile he "Rescued" yesterday) and when you ignore it the jerk repeats himself~ over and over...........

No problem Cheryl, there's no "royalty" for their use. Here's one more for you "need to make room"! ;)
