Although I have not been involved in the reptile industry for quite awhile, I wanted to make it very well known that the new version of the Central PA Reptile Expo being held in Carlisle, PA is in no way associated with myself, my husband or my old business (Kordek's Kritters).
Some basic information about the old version of the show, and what happened may be necessary to understand why I am posting this as important information.
Starting in October 2008, my husband and I created the Central PA Reptile Expo at the Carlisle Hotel. We then moved the show to the Carlisle Expo Center for 4 more shows. Because of some bad business dealings, and some underhanded business maneuvers, the then-owners of The Turtle Xing, Vernon Kitchen and his son, took the show from us. From that point forward, we had no dealings in the reptile industry for many reasons, although we have retained friends in the industry.
It has now come to my attention, as well as to many others, that the show has been "resurrected" under the name that I began the show with, and it is being held by Becky Donmoyer. It may not be very well known, but this is the daughter of Vern Kitchen. Although unconfirmed, it is believed that Mr. Kitchen and his son are involved in the show as well. I will not comment on the reputation that these individuals hold in the industry, as it is well known, and my opinion may be construed as biased after what they did to me, my family and my business, much less how they caused my reputation to suffer both personally and professionally.
This post is mostly to serve as a warning to potential vendors that they may be getting involved with the Kitchens again, and to please watch your back.
Information about the show can be found on their Facebook page, on which I did post that the name of the show is my property under my business name and it needs to be changed (can't promise that will still be there when you view the page, but I do have a screenshot attached as "fbpagepost.png").

When doing a Google search on the show, another post came up from Craigslist from an unknown source (not me or anyone associated with me). Thought this might be important (screenshot attached as "craigslistwarning.png"). They have recently posted the show date under the Harrisburg, PA Pets category.
