    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I can't be the only one suffering from this most terrible of terrible afflictions. I just purchased an AMAZING harlequin-esque female ball python from patc here, and there's nothing more I want than to take her out of the rack and just admire her. It's like I've got two voices competing for control in my head. I've got a little kid screaming "EEEE newsnake newsnake!" and then I've got the mature, adult side of me telling that little kid "now now, it's stressful on the animal to be handled too much, especially during quarantine, so leave her alone."

It's a killer! Thanks Mom-me, you're right, but that doesn't make littlekid-me take it any easier! I did take her out for a photoshoot though.

Here are some photos of the beauty! I'm not an expert on belly patterns, so any input would be valuable. I'm hoping this turns out to be genetic in some fashion, but if not, I'd be just as happy if some of her pattern bleeds through to her kids. Can you imagine cinnamons or black pastels like this? So far, I'm thinking that breeding her to a cinnamon, a black pastel, or a mojave male would make the best possible combination. Can you guys think of any more?

I can identify with that totally...I have two lil guys that are sitting pretty in their isolation as we speak and it is killing me not to 'play' with them! That said....lets get back to the matter at hand....your drop-dead, gorgeous, beautiful, amazing girl of a snake there! Wowsa!

I think a black pastel would be amazing with her but then again something hypoish also might have amazing results thus the lesser/mojave/butters.....omg breed her with everything and see what you get? (wait...then they'll talk about her in the boy snakes locker room...we can't have that!)

The thing I would do is pick the male baby that is closest in appearance to her and breed it back to her....you might even want to just forgo the special bps and breed her to a nice normal to see if the pattern holds true.

All in all, Vanessa...you got yourself a great snake there! Congratz!

nice snake and a greatexample of a melting pattern, i personally would breed her to a co-dom i do not think going with a black pastel or a cinni would do much other than reduce the pattern i would try a fire to her or something along those lines but what ever you do i am sure she will put out some killer babies. good luck i can,t wait to see the results

hey vanessa, great harly..agreed craig, great example of melting side patterns..thanks for the awesome photos.

Ohhh, I love her! I need a harly female bad right now... I have a male who needs a lady. Lol. The belly pattern looks spot on from what I've seen of more established harlequin lines (such as the PE stripe, etc). I'd say this girl is promising :) Congrats!

Abby, Pat's got another one for sale, you should check out his website. ;-) Granted, I snagged the best looking one he's got, but the other girl is very pretty too!

Thanks for all your comments everyone! Now I just have to decide what kind of male to breed to her. Susan, I like your idea of breeding her to a normal male to see if the pattern holds true without the "noise" of another morph. I'll have to give this a lot of thought, and I'm hoping that I'll spot something that catches my eye down at Daytona this year! I'll bring a picture of her with me and go boyfriend shopping. ;-)

I actually requested extra pictures when his ad first went up, haven't gotten any yet but I hope he sends some eventually... Have to admit I was eyeballing yours the most though :eek:

He was really fast responding to me with extra pictures. I would try sending him another PM?
