    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've been interested in paranormal stuff for some time now, although i make it a point not to go deep into the stuff, i'm mainly interested in EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) and pictures, i know theres also one person here who is also interested in this stuff, anyone else?

lets share some stories ;)

heres a picture taken with a nikon coolpix 3200, was takin in my kitchen, as you can see there is a large blurry brown mass forming in the center, this could be lens glare, but it has color to it..so..

did you see that new movie comeing out about evp? so you took that picture your self? i seen a really weird show about this about a month back that was pretty creepy. the one where the guys took pictures with a polariod camra and there where messages on the pictures.

The story on the kid that always has a white orb next to him in all of pics. Same camera used for different pics and it only shows up in his.
 
I have to confess that this sort of subject matter has always fascinated me, even as a small child. The very first book I can remember buying with my own money was a book about strange phenomenon. I can't remember the title, right off hand, but the name Frank Edwards as the author comes to mind.

I don't know, I guess it is the thought that everything that can be known is NOT known always fascinated me. If there is enough interest in this sort of thing, I wouldn't mind giving it it's own forum. Probably in the general topics section. Just let me know if there is enough interest for this. I would suspect that there are a bunch of people out there who have had one or more odd things happen to them over their lifetimes. I know I have, but heck, never had much of an opportunity nor reason to talk about them before.
 
Hey Tokay Dude, you were mentioning orbs on the BS thread. I created this illustration for Halloween cards. See now this is the real truth behind orbs. I solved it. :cool:

OK I have a bunch of ghost stories. Heres one.
My parents house has some odd things happen in or around it. The house is over 170 years old. In the past the original owner was a doctor who used the house as his home and office. My parents will occasionally find small glass bottles and stuff in the garden area or in the attic.
Anyway when me and my sister were home alone we generally stayed in the living room watching TV. This happened a lot, my bedroom was above the living room. We would hear a large bang. Like a large object crashed to the ground. We would go upstairs to investigate and see nothing moved. Also my sister has had someone call her name from upstairs when no one was home.
One really creepy incident happened when we had friends over. My sister was big into collecting police related stuff. (COPS was big back then) She had a battery operated remote control police car on a shelf in her room upstairs. We were all downstairs watching movies, when we heard a police siren. At first we thought it was outside, then noticed it was coming from upstairs.Now the siren is blaring the whole time. It's finally stops when we are nearly in her room. Now it was puzzling that it would go off when it hasn't been played with in a long time.(The car had dust on it) I checked the car and saw that there were no batteries in it!?! I know some electronics can have a bit of residual power, but not for over 10 minutes.
Also a neighbor next door saw a strange boy looking at her beside our garage.
She said he looked like he was dressed from an earlier period. When she called her husband to come look, the boy was gone. Oh and my parents don't tell anyone about this. When they were digging the ground to make a garden in the back of the yard, my Dad dug up a rectangular, smooth granite stone. It's about a foot and a half long and has two initials carved on one side. (Sorry I can't recall what the initials are) My Mom did some research and it looks like the stone was a grave marker for a baby. That's just a few odd things from that house. The house next door is owned by my parents and is rented out. ( it's empty at the moment) It is nearly as old as the doctor's house and was originally a store owned by the doctor's family. Lights flickering, odd voices, and shadow figures have been seen and heard in the house. Well that's it for now. Thanks for reading. :)
 
One time my mom and I had an appointment with my insurance agent because I was getting my first car that evening. We had just got done at work and headed straight to the insurance office. As we walked past one of the office windows I could see the agent sitting at his desk, on the phone, and there was also a man in a business suit sitting in a chair alongside the desk. I remember saying to my mom, "He'd better hurry up with that guy cause WE have an appointment!!" Well when we went inside the office, there was my agent, still on the phone, but there was no other man sitting there. I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around, wide-eyed and mouth open, and looked at my mom. She was shocked too, because she heard the agitation in my voice when I had made the comment about how he'd better hurry up! When the agent got off the phone I immediately told him what I saw. He said that there had been no man sitting there, but he believed in "that sort of thing" and he wondered about who it could have been. I don't think I'll ever forget that experience. It's cool to hear others' stories, but to actually experience it personally is something else!!

Just get the stories going.

When I was little i lived in Birmingham , Al. The apartment complex we lived in had a HUGE field bordered by words. we used to ply baseball and games in the field even after dark so there were no worries about anything funky happening. I spent the night with some friends and we were all out playing , BBQing and having a good time.
the adults thought it would be funny to have someone dress in white go running thru the woods to scare us. didn't work, kinda hard to scare someone when you run into a tree and start cussing.
We went inside for the night and started talking about how funny it was when the adults tried to scare us. My friend's brother was looking out the window ( we were on the 2nd floor ) and said they were doing it again. We all piled up on the window to have a look see and sure enough someone in white was running thru the woods.
We started talking about it and whoever it was in the woods started coming across the field towards the apartment.The closer " she " got the freakier the whole thing got. It was a lady , in a dress , white from head to toe , floating across the field. We were frozen in place. Mind you , most people don't float. As she got closer she looked up right us watching her thru the window. Next thing you know she was at the window eye to eye with us and we could see right thru her. We screamed and ran , most of us anyway. we ran downstairs and started blabbering about the lady in the window. Naturally they didn't believe us and after alot of begging my friend's dad went upstairs with us to have a look. He picked on us the whole the way upstairs until we walked in the room. The lady was gone but my friends little brother was standing near the window , shaking violently and had peed and pooed himself. We never saw her again but we never stayed outside after dark for a long time after that either.
 
OOOPS , didn't see the other stories. Used to work in haunted movie theater . That was fun.
 
OK, I set up this Paranormal forum to see if this flies or not, and moved this thread over to it.

I'm thinking that maybe I need to move the Crytozoology Forum into this General Interest section as well, since it really is not specific to Reptiles and Amphibians.

Anyway, let's get some interesting discussions started in here. Topics heard about elsewhere, and not first hand experiences are welcomed for discussion as well.

Another interesting place to look is actually on Ebay. If you go to the Psychic/Paranormal catagory. That is where you can find people selling everything from ouiji baords, occult stuff, and haunted objects. There are some really interesting and sometimes humorous stories that go along with these items. Anyways this is the home of the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese!
( I actually know someone who bought one of those :rolleyes: )
 
My story.

With out going into to much detail about the things I have seen or heard, I am going to tell you a breif story.

Several years ago I lived in a house in Edina, MN. We always heard things in the backyard and never thought to much about it. My Beagle would spend hours running from one end to the other like she was chasing something. Once again, never thought much about it. Well when we were moving out I took this picture of 3 of my friends. It was with a crappy disposable camera, I filled the whole camera that night. We moved out the next day, I packed up everything and forgot about the camera. About 8 months after this picture was taken one of the 3 people had a annyeruism(sp) and was dead before he hit the ground. For his funeral I remembered that I had some pics on a camera and decided to get this one developed. I never noticed the image in the right hand of this picture until after I scanned them out. I thought my scanner was being weird until I got a better look at the picture. To me it looks like a face in the top part, with an arm out stretched towards the guy on the far left. Now before you doubt this picture, there has been NO editing done to it, there was no fire nearby, and the grill was on the other side of the deck turned off. Anyways here you go, here is the picture.
BTW the guy on the left was the one who died. His name was Dave, Gus is in the middle, and Andrew is on the far right.

OK the only question is, was anyone smoking out there? That sometimes is mistaken for such images. Just wondered.
