In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy The Serpentarium- Lodi, Ca

After having consulted his shyster attorney, I suspect that he's been advised to no longer acknowledge the fact that he's no longer acknowledging the terms of the initial purchase. After making some fairly counterintuitive claims, he probably sees this is a wonderful time to start exercising his 5th Amendment rights. I'd have to guess that, from here on out, Mr. Coral is going to be fairly scarce around here.

Unfortunately I believe your going to be right and that we won't really see TheSerpentarium on here anymore. It would have been nice to hear back from Mr.Coral as I had hoped either he had some explanation or would decide to pay any debt. he owed. It's also unfortunate that if Mr. Coral did cheat Mr. Gillingham I don't believe this thread will hurt his business as much as it should. Still hopefully those of us that have read this thread will not buy from TheSerpenatium and inform our friends to do the same if Mr. Coral doesn't respond with an explanation.

I will also say that I'm pleased that many of the members on here have such a strong moral compass. It's nice to know that there are still people who have a sense of honor and believe in paying back debt. when they can. I personally never declared bankruptcy despite having fractured several vertebrate, crushing discs and the loss of my job due to these and other injuries. I was considering bankruptcy as I felt at a loss to do anything else but my parents pushed me to hold on and do what I could to pay back that which I owed, so I did. I never lowered my Child Support payments or shirked off any of my debt. I struggled and while I'm not where I'd like to be financially I will say I'm happy for choosing the path I did.

While I, too, would like to hear more from Mr. Coral, I don't believe that his replies are necessary to validate the current topic of this thread. I believe he is narcissistic enough to keep checking in; if he feels he has anything to gain, he'll chime in. I'd like to hear more from Bill, too, but I can only imagine how painful this must be for him.

I have notified Jeremy Epstein, owner of Pets2Go and the Sacramento Reptile Show, of this thread. While I am not sure Jeremy will wish to contribute or even if he has any more information to add to this story, he was sort-of brought into this around post #227 or so. I consider Jeremy to be a very, very good guy and would appreciate any information he might have to share about this.

I have put this past me years ago. I made some mistakes and got burned for it. I will just have to live with it. Robert and myself want to move on. No need to carry this any further.
Thanks for everyone's concerns and support. I really enjoyed having the Great Valley Serpentarium and sharing my passion of reptiles. I will write Robert a historical summary of the Great Valley Serpentarium so people will know more about it's beginnings and hopefully clear up any confusion. Animals are always my first priority.

Robert and myself want to move on.

I'm sure Robert wants to move on as quickly as possible, so that people do not dwell on what is in my opinion, slimy unethical behavior. However, this is a permanent thread, and I certainly plan to talk about Robert elsewhere as well.

I've just received a PM from someone who claims to be Robert's wife, trying to put the hush on me. I attempted to answer via PM, however, she has her PM system set up so that no responses are permissible, so I will post my response here:

Hello Lucille,

I have just created an acct here to allow me the opportunity to post a statement. In the meantime, I do respectfully ask that you please refrain from taking further action as I see that you've been quite busy.

When I read this post, I contacted Bill and a meeting has been arranged. There are facts that he's not sharing. As a matter of fact, he's not sharing much here. I understand that this entire thread comes across to you in a very negative way, understandly so. This entire thread is very upsetting and I hope that you'll wait until a full statement has been made by Bill or Robert once we've met.

Sincerely,
Marcy

My response:

Sorry, no. If you want to change my perspective, I will, with an open mind, listen to what you have to say now. Other than that, I suggest you meet quickly, because vague references to unsaid material are not very persuasive to me.

mrs. coral, if that's who you really are, your husband is a liar and a thief. Since you were married when he stole the Serpentarium from Bill, I must, in all fairness, assume that you too are a liar and thief as there is no way this theft could have been perpetrated without your knowing of it. Shame on you mrs. coral. You took what a man in his late 60s was going to retire on and now your fine upstanding citizen of a husband is opening another store, has a distribution facility and is taking expensive billboard advertisements out for his ill-gotten gains.

Do you know what teachers retire on mrs. coral? Yeah, not much. Thank you and your wonderful husband eversomuch for doing that to Bill.

You're good people mrs. coral, you and your husband. Good for pointing to and telling the kids NOT to grow up and be like that.

OK, enough said. Lets give it a rest and move on with our lives. Thank you.
Bill Gillingham

Really guys, if Bill is advising us to give this a rest then I really think that we should. The "victim" himself has asked on several ocassions to let this go yet we continue to pry and pry. We do not know all of the details behind this deal and maybe it's for the best. There are reasons beyond our comprehension why these people want to keep certain aspects of their lives private. I think we should respect these wishes. This thread was originally about a red tail green rat, not about the dealings of Bill and Robert. I'm all for "catching the bad guys" and so on, but I think enough is enough here. The snake ended up in good hands and looks like it could be on the right track which is great.

To whom is concerned of the Gonyo, he is doing great thanks to Sam, and Naomi from GBU Enterprises.

He took down two live hoppers today, he puts on a very exciting hunt, actually chases the mouse around the enclosure like the racer he is.

He will be visiting a Vet this Saturday to make sure he is in tip top shape and has no forthcoming problems.

The statement made by Bill, indicates there is more to this "story". I for one, while curious to know the whole story (truth), it doesn't really concern me as I will likely never shop there.

If the "victim" says let it go, fine. I myself would want money that is owed to me, but hey that is me. If Bill can afford to be out 175k or however much, more power to him.

People can always look at it as a gift. :shrug01:

Allot to adsorb

Wow I just read all "30" pages. Yes WOW thats allot to adsorb. But in my opinion here is what I made up in my mind. Even if you do not agree with me this is only my opinion.

1. Brandon I only hope you have learned to not only research but understand that people make mistakes and to me it sounds like you both have made some here. What I see others jumping your case is that you sound like a ass here on the forum. Even though your intentions were good. Reality is you asked for future vet bills for a animal that may have issues later. That is after GBU helped you.. That I hope you understand that's impossible to do. We can not predict the future. Most breeders have a guarantee stating that if your unhappy or that the animal is sick you must return or notify with on 24 hours. Maybe because you forgot or that fact your new is no excuse. But that is your fault for not asking. You also need to understand NEVER and I mean NEVER accept a animal that is sick from a retailer or a breeder. That will go along way in to avoiding situations like this.

2 GBU.... I applaud you for your help with the animal and with you the best. I have met you a couple of time and you have help me in the past with getting the shipping items I needed to ship a animal my self. Thanks and see you soon.

3. Last but not least. Robert. I only hope you as a human being and a man understand what we all are saying here. You have to step out side of the box and put yourself in Bill's shoe's. If the roles were reversed what or even how would you feel. I as a Licensed loan and insurance Broker know that you can not transfer a building into someones name with out their signatures. EVEN if it is done you could have disputed that and WON. Because there was no signatures of yours accepting liability it would have been Null and void. But What I have read and UNDERSTAND (opinion here) from your statements is. You saw a way to get a business for penny's on the dollar and was advised probably to stay quite and you would succeed. Well my freind regardless of your feelings KARMA will find a way. YOU and everyone else here know that you need to find a way to pay bill his retirement money. You say you respect him but only spit in his face every month he is not paid his monthly payment. EVEN if he says that he has forgiven you. You know it isnt right. You would be jumping an yelling if that had happened to you.

Remember when that kid stole that bumblebee from your shop and you put it on Craigslist and Facebook that it happened and that you wanted our help talking him into doing that right thing and return it or pay for it. When he finally called you ( because of a few of us talking to him). You saw and felt sorry for him allowed him to make payments to you in stead of returning it to you. Well don't you think you are in the same boat but reversed roles here. PAY THE MAN HIS MONEY.
