    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Darin, a police report is filed *every* time an officer reports to a scene...it could have been a suspicious person loitering about, it could have been an officer checking back...this is why all cops complain about paperwork...there's TONS of it.

RHACC, Dave and Darrin, thanks for bringing to my attention that people who call after hours get the generic message, not the personal touch the daytime callers get.  I will fix it and see if business improves.

Dave Lawson did indeed leave a telephone message that I got the morning of 5/24 (which will be taped and available for anyone to listen to if they call me) and he called shortly thereafter that morning.  

Dave’s memory was:
I do not know if this person is a attorney or not.I called this morning and the person pickup the phone....Yeah ? I call back and the same person answered "offices"I spoke to a man that sounded half asleep I told him of the posting of the letter,To my surprise he said ,"WHAT" I told him thank I was forwarding it to the bar ass.,TPD. AND AOL ATTACHED TO A COMPLAINT.I gave him my attornies name and number said thank and hung up. I have never heard of a attorny sending legal documents by e-mail.

Dave’s memory may be deficient, we can't assume he is a liar.   I said “law offices of Phil Townes.”  He also neglected to share with you that he told me he preferred not to be on speaker phone. “So what?” was what I said about the posting, as in so what?  

“I never heard of” – the expert on crime is now an expert on attorneys.  

Lawson is correct. I sound half asleep.  I also wear bow ties and suspenders. Thank you for a clear and accurate posting on your standing with the Florida Bar (yes, I went on the site and checked). Dave=0, Philip = 1. That's all we've asked from the beginning.

If Neil would have posted his facts in the same manner from the beginning instead of changing stories ( I continue to give Neil the benefit of the doubt due to his previous relationship with this community, explantion later) we would have all told Dave to shut up and what the personal ax was to grind (gut tells me that is there as well). I personally don't like the "try this line on for size. didn't work. ok then try this one on"' method.

I personally don't think that Neil has misrepresented animals he has sold or dealt in shady dealings due to the lack of negative reports here (before this thread). A person that cannot keep straight whether he filed reports or not or if those reports are misplaced could not possibly keep track all the strings required to sell animals over a long period of time and not have someone say something negative.

Neil's personal attacks (represented here by emails posted) do not cast him in a good light.  The bringing in of a lawyer (legitimatly or not) continues that theme in the minds of John Doe American. Neil boasted in previous posts of "something big happening soon". I (along with many on this board) hoped it would be clear, factual data that laid waste to Dave's accusations. Wow, that would have ended it here in most people's minds (though saddly you would have lost out on the professional growth  <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> ). Instead it was the fact he brought a lawyer into his match with Dave which didn't solve any issues in the thread. Not a big deal to those of us here.

What Mr. Townes is saying is: If you tell your brother that you would like to shoot so and so.  Thats a desire!! Won't
work in a court of law. If you go to the person that you want to shoot or call them and tell them you are going to shoot them!!!!!   Thats a threat!!  And can be used in a court of law!!

Just a note to Ritchie(don't get mad please, just offering another view on the threat thing)...

In the e-mail that was posted here, Neil did not once say, "I WANT to shoot her," or "I am going to shoot her."  He said, "It would be easier if I shot her."  That is just a statement in my eyes(although not the MOST appropriate one), and does not give implied intent to cause her bodily harm from what I read.  At least that is the way I see it.  How many times have you said to someone that made you angry, "I could kill you for that," or "If you do that again I'm gonna hurt you," or any manner of hollow threat?    Everyone says things like that without ANY intent to actually hurt anyone, whether as a joke or as a flash of anger.  Should everyone that says something like that be put under the lights and have to fight to prove they weren't ACTUALLY out to hurt anyone?  If that is the case, then we would have the courts tied up for ETERNITY!  Although any threats made should be taken seriously, I don't see what Neil said as a threat, just a comment(though like I said, probably not the right one).  

And just for the record, I am not from Tampa(haven't been there in years), and I have never met Neil.  Nor do I think he is a god.  I would actually like to stop by the Snake Pit if I am ever in Tampa and poke around.  And yes, I will agree that there were some holes that should have been filled and this thread should have been handled very differently, but like most people here, I go with what I feel, and I still feel that Neil is more believable, in my eyes at least.  If that makes me a bad person or a pushover for sticking with my instincts, then so be it.  I would HATE to think that voicing my opinions about this issue would damage my reputation(which in my opinion is pretty good, I can count all of my bad deals on one hand, but I also don't make as many sales as some of you guys), but if people think that way, then what can I do?  
And if Dave Lawson is the same one that did the Atlanta show last year, then I have met him.  And I thought he was a decent guy.  But on THIS issue, something tells me there is something very fishy with his part in this affair(not the robbery, but this stuff here on the BOI).  If you guys were associates, it is too bad your realtionship(business or friends)has to end with such animosity.

Anyway, I guess I have said enough, more than my due I am sure.  I hope this gets worked out without anyone getting ruined.

And he started e-mailing people that around the same time he found out he got promoted from victim to prime suspect.

I am not in anyway upset with how you feel.I believe that everyone has a right to voice their opinions and if they do not agree with my opinion well so be it .I do not think you are a bad gut,and I did do the Atlanta show.

I can't believe it has come to this.  Who is going to really win in all this mess?  The answer is simple....lawyers.  I have never met a lawyer who didn't want to make a court case out of every little disagreement.  At 250-400/hour, I can hardly blame them.  Again I will repeat what has been said 1000 times, Neil, why not answer the simple questions placed before you and save both your reputation as well as money on legal fees?
