    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

THE SNAKE PIT WAS BURGLARIZED *AGAIN* LAST NIGHT!!

Boy oh boy!!!  This thread has been keeping me awake at work the last few days!  

Where are all these facts and lies that you have proof for?  Maybe I am just stupid(I am sure someone will attest to that;) , but I at least have yet to see any facts other than heresay.  And burden of proof does not lie with Neil, it lies with YOU.  He doesn't have to prove or disprove he robbed his own store, YOU do.  You have made the allegations and accusations, it is up to you to make good on the proof.  

And Josie(not a bash at all, just a question), first you said Neil e-mailed you a death threat, then that it didn't come directly to you but through someone else, then it came to you again?  I may have read something wrong, there, so please forgive me if I did.  And that there were copies of it sent to the TPD, and that they did not contact Neil about it?  Umm, I may be off on how the law works, but I am pretty sure that if you report a death threat from someone, and can name that person, that the police would contact whoever you named making the threats.

And Dave, I believe you said that the truth only needs to be told once, but a lie needs to be repeated.  You seem to be repeating yourself alot.  

And as I said, I am not accusing ANYONE of doing anything, but I still find Neil more believable in this instance.  He has only called you a liar once, but you have said it gee, more times than I wanna count right now.    It just seems to me that you are not necessarily out for justice, but have a massive beef with Neil.  

I agree there are definitely things that have not been said.  But the truth is out there, and now that the X-files is over, maybe Mulder and Scully could use the work working on this one;)
 
I did prove that Neil lied if you don't see it re-read the thread others have caught him.I have been saying the same thing over and over but Neil is the one who keeps changing his story.Yes i do think in this matter Neil would what to try to clear his name but then again like he has said "the people on this board will believe whatever he says".He said that he would post all four of the report # he said he had them in hand then he suddenly lost two of them,Have you seen any numbers?Ask Neil how anyone could have moved that 200 pound cage that was made into the floor,why the glass was broken out not in,how a rack that needs a key that only he has was unlocked and the tanks were nicly set on the floor and the snakes were taken.Ask Neil why he was not home @1:30 am and the alarm company had to get him on his cell phone while he was driving and he told them to call his store manager a quote "I was to busy to be bothered with it",Why the only snake taken were sick or belonged to someone else or why the Responding officers said "this was a inside job.there are witnesses to all of this,but you want me to give names so that Neil can change their minds or put together a alibi (sp)
Why all the pry marks are from the inside prying out,why the video recorder was dis-connected by him prior to the robbery.
Now I know that Neil is going to deny all of this on the board but in a court of law the people on the stand will not lie and go down with him.
 
Neil, here is an idea....If you really want Dave to continue talking, you should probably stop trying to intimidate him with your threats of "SURPRISES". Just a thought. Casey
 
Neil, cut the B.S. stop with all your silent threats that something bad is going to happen to me.I am not even a little worried about anything you may do.Now I have leveled some serious claims against you and as of yet you have not even tried to defend yourself other then saying "Dave is a liar".You know that there is no one you can trust to lie for you this time and the people that you have talked to are will to testify to detectives and in court against you.You know what Crowley's report says and you know that once Cole talks to him you are done.Alot of people on this board have already seen you for what you truely are.

At this point I almost don't care about the results of the investigation OR who is MORE guilty here. (Because NOTHING gets this outta hand without a little culpability on BOTH sides.)

Yeah.....I'd pretty much just turn tail and run from ALL of the involved parties.

Too many good breeders out there with good stuff and WITHOUT a yellow pages full of "he said she said bullsh!t" on the BOI.

Tom ,Please DO NOT confuse Neil as being a breeder.Neil is a store owner that was telling his customers the proper temp to hatch boa eggs and when I tried to correct him he argued with me saying that Ben Seagal sold him a adult female boa that laid 2 clutches last season.The man did not know that boas gave live birth.

OK.  I'm officially tired of this back and forth that we have here now!  However, I'm afraid I have to add a bit to the fire just for my own sanity.

Neil is supposed to have lied to us all how?  I know that he initially reported an animal stolen that was actually dead before hand and was at that time in the freezer.  He says that he was simply confused in the shock of the burglary.  Would I have been so confused?  Probably not, but I cannot latch on to that on piece of information and say Neil is a liar because of it.  After all, when it was brought up he could have delayed and made excuses.  Instead, he just admitted it was a mistake and apologized.  I also know that he listed an animal as having been sold rather than reporting on kingsnake.com that it had died instead.  Now, this was a lie, pure and simple.  I cannot condone lying in any way, but I at least understnad why he lied about it.  It was stupid, but it was not a lie about this mess.  It was what the world calls "a white lie" (there is no such thing, Neil&#33<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> so as to not involve having to say an animal died in his care for whatever reason.  He admits, once again, that this was a terrible, one-time mistake and it will never happen again.

However, I have not seen how Neil has lied to us (the BOI) about anything, and I have yet to see him being documented about lying to anyone about this incident in ANY way.  He may be lying through his teeth for all I know, but I haven't seen any PROOF of it yet.  If I have missed it, please let me know.  I promise I'll jump all over Neil publicly just as I would anyone who cannot be trusted.

Dave, on the other hand has caught himself or Ray Marteliz in a full blown lie by my estimation.  When Neil said in an email to Rich that he had been told by Marteliz that he (Ray) had been told by Dave that Neil had paid him (Dave) to break into his (Neil's) store, Dave responded by saying:

"On another note I did talk to Ray Marteliz this morning and I was told that he never said anything to Neil about me."

Ray corrected Neil's initial statement to Rich by his post saying that he was simply telling Neil of a rumor that he had heard to that effect from someone, not from Dave himself.

Neil took this as vendication he had been telling the truth, though he was wrong about who had actually told Mr. Marteliz in the beginning.  Dave, however, posted this reply:

"Ray, I wil start by saying thank you for thelling the truth and leting everyone know that it was a rumor."

Here's the rub, IF Mr. Marteliz really told Dave that "he never said anything to Neil about" Dave, why is Dave now thanking Ray for lying (either to Dave earlier or to the BOI now)?  IF, on the other hand, Mr. Marteliz did not tell Dave what Dave said he was told, then Dave is flat out lying, not about some other event, trying to save face in a stupid kid-like manner, but rather recently lying about this event.

If Dave had simply said, "I talked to Ray, and he didn't say anything to me about such a rumor," that would be one thing.  But to say that he was expressly told something that Mr. Marteliz has now shown not to be the case means that one of these two men is lying.  I don't know either of them, but since Dave thanked Mr. Marteliz for his post, and (based on his past posts) I cannot imagine Dave thanking somone for lying about him, I have to conclude that it is more probable that Dave has not heeded his father's advice and cannot clearly recall what he said earlier.  If I'm wrong, I'll set it straight with a full apology right here.

So, which is it, Dave.  Did Ray Marteliz expressly tell you that "he had never said anything to Neil about" you, making him a liar either to you or to us, or did you lie when you said he had told you that in the first place?  It has to be one or the other, so which is it?

I too am enjoying this saga - is the last thing I look at before bed (besides my lovely wife) now in lieu of late night news.  Reminds me more of the game board "Clue" with the regular "facts" being thrown out.  My only regret is the fact somebody here is likely to come out a bad guy...TW<<

5. Called your girlfriend's mother and her job looking to get her fired.
6. Told the tattoo parlor next door that I told the Health Department that they are using dirty needles.
7. I stole all the money from James and Rich.
8. I don't own The Snake Pit.
9. I called Airborne Express and UPS and "ratted out" Ben Siegel and Xrtreme Reptiles for shipping snakes and lizards.
10. Had my snakes shipped out of state and then shipped back to me for resale.
11. Lied to Detective Cole
12. Wouldn't let them dust for prints.
13. Told someone that I paid Dave to rob my store.  
14. Threatened to sue Rich Z.
15. Lied to the Private Investigator.
16. Falsely listed animals that weren't stolen.
17. Told people that Boas lay eggs. hahaha
18. Had two clutches of BOAS hatch out. hahaha
19. I only sell sick animals.
20. I only stole the sick animals.
21. I used my key to get into one of the display racks. (Why I didn't use my key for the other two display cases is beyond me, I could have saved a lot of money)
22. I somehow moved my 200 pound Iguana tank which is nailed to the floor (it's not nailed down at all, and it's less than 100 pounds)
23. I gently disconnected the tape machine. (it was ripped out of the wall)
24. I wasn't home when the cops called (I was sleeping)
25. Didn't want to go to the store and made Angie do it (I'm 20 minutes away and Angie is across the street)
26. Gently laid all the empty tanks on the floor neatly (that's why all the screen tops were destroyed)
27. That I am DEFINITELY the one responsible for all 4 of my burglaries

And much, much more that I can't remember at the moment...

And with all of these SLANDEROUS accusations, not ONE police officer has come in to talk to me about it! Kinda makes you wonder, huh??

I'll say it AGAIN people! I DID NOT DO ANY OF THIS! And it WILL be proven out VERY SOON!!

Dave...You think I'm kidding?? You're in for the shock of your life!! By the end of this week, you'll know EXACTLY what I'm talking about!

Darin,I ask Mr. Marteliz if he told Neil that I called him (Ray) and told him (Ray) that Neil paid me to rob his store,He simply answered "I never told Neil that".He came and posted later that it was a rumor and that he heard it from someone else.I thanked him for clearing it up,Neil posted it as fact when it was told to him it was only a rumor.Neil posted it as fact and that alone is a lie and so you understand Neil made Ray tell his (neil's) store manager and she said that Ray said it was only a "rumor".You can down play Neil lying to you all you want that is up to you but a lie is a lie.I was confused,I forgot,Det.Cole questioned Dave and Julie AND SAID THEY ARE LIARS,The snake sold (as a ice cube),These are c.b. and eating ball pythons (wc never eaten.)come on how much can you over look?He then calls people Jacka$$es for buying from him (the guy that paid $1,300.00 for a normal Aru).Do you want to buy from him?Before you do talk to the people that rent the store next to him ask them how many dead snakes Neil puts in thier dumptser weekly.

I'm not willing to "overlook" anything from anyone.  However, 99% of what you have accused Neil of lying about has been 100% unsubstantiated.  While you, on the other hand have admitted in your previous post that what you said Mr. Marteliz told was not what he actually told you.  Yes, Mr. Marteliz did not say YOU told him that you robbed Neil's store at Neil's request, but someone (not Neil) DID!

Of those descrepencies of Neil's story, he has offered possible (if not plausible) reasons for his oversights.  I am willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt (even you, Dave) until I have P-R-O-O-F that any individual no longer deserves it.  At the very least, you have to admit that your prior post about Mr. Marteliz was less than accurate and that it was tilted by you toward your position for your benefit.  You have now corrected it, and for that I am appreciative, but why did you lie about the conversation in the first place?  When you lie about this situation, don't you realize that it causes us all to question the veracity of those other instances for which you have offered ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF?

One of you two, Neil and Dave, is going to be recognized as a bad guy after this is all said and done, and I hope that everyone will remember the outcome of this for many years down the road.  I don't yet know how this will turn out, but I'm sure that everyone involved will be saddened that a reputation of another has been dragged throught the mud when the guilty person goes down in flames.
 
Umm, Dave...haven't you been to jail also?  I seem to remember your criminal record coming up a while back and you were quite perterbed about it.  So now you are trying to make Neil out to be a big bad criminal?  Hypocritical much???  Beyond that, Neil hasn't tried to keep this a secret, he's admitted having run-ins with the law before.  You are not bringing new evidence.  BTW, I'm very neutral in this matter and have not "picked a side."

In all fairness to Dave, I think Neil used the "you've been to jail and it's not going to help your credibility" card first in this mud-fest.  If I'm wrong about this, I'll be happy to retract when I'm shown otherwise.

Just trying to keep it fair as possible.
 
If I was a betting man, I would bet that one day Dave and Neil are both going to regret all the things they've said about each other. I would also bet that neither had anything to do with the break-ins and for some reasons that we will probably  never know, the stress of the situation and the relationship got to both of them. Unfortunately, some very immature personalities ignited this whole thing by coming on this board and saying stupid things. If I was a betting man, I would bet that everyone involved would jump on the chance to start over and concentrate on finding out where Neils animals are. It is truly sad to see this. This is how the public sees us.
 
Ok...Here is MY criminal record.....in 1975 (27 years ago) I spent a couple of months in jail for pot....about 4 years ago, I got a speeding ticket....THAT'S IT!!!
OK, Dave...I fessed up....now it's your turn! Of course, I don't know if there's enough BAND WIDTH to hold it all!! Talk yourself out of THIS one???....Neil
