    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The strangest thing just happened out of nowhere

So Im checking my enclosures and doing the usual daily routine of feeding my geckos and as I get to my female Dream's enclosure I see that she is missing the tip of her tail. Its gone!!!! The part that fell off isn't longer then a centimeter and I search through the enclosure to try to find it and there is absolutely nothing. Anyone else ever experience this??
I dont have anything in her enclosure that is heavy enough to able to apply enough force on her tail to induce it to fall of so I dont understand what could have caused this. Also, Im sure it wasnt hungry crickets that wanted to eat her tail because I feed her one by one and stop when she no longer has a appetite. Ill post pics later. My poor poor dream :'(

Hey Robert,
The same thing happend to me with on of my SHTCT breeders from Urban.....
Same as you, I did not have anything heavy in the bin and crickets do not last long enough to be able to munch on any of my leos.....

It might be due to a shed that did not come off all the way, but with mine, I did not see anything to point in that direction.....

I would not worry about it at all..... Mine healed up fine and you can barely tell she lost the tip.....

Poor girl, she has a nice carrottail, Ive been lucky so far and only had it happen to 1 baby when I misted her and 1 female when a male bit her tail but none of the lone cagers have dropped any parts of the tail.

Sorry to hear that and Im sure she will grow it back just fine, its such a small amount missing you may not be able to tell it after it grow back.

Hey ive seen this (i hope you dont mind Chad) well Chad had a nice hypo pop out that at the time was 1 of his nicest but one day during shedding he pulled off his own tail and ate it...ended up naming him Hannibal

lmao,
yeah, I was devastated, She's a 4 year old breeder that was perfect in every single way, I would have never expected her tail to be imperfect, but I guess you cant predict anything with leos.

im sure shell live a fine life Chad still has Hannibal and hes not suffering.tails do grow back afterall maybe not the same but hey nobodys perfect and not all leos are gonna be either.
