In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was giving Sammie and Oreo their Meds and figured I would take a few pictures for you all to see. As you can see, they are doing great! Sammie and Oreo thanks you all for your support and well wishes.

First up is Sammie, I am really questioning wether she is actually blind, I know she sees the eye drops coming because she closes her eyes right when they are falling to her eye.

And here is Oreo (In Shed). She isn't eating the worms yet (Neither is Sammie), but I have hope!

And here is a close up of Oreos eye, its the best I could get, clear as can be

Thanks Felicia. They were both looking pretty bad at one point. Until I started giving them Marcias Slurry. Since then, they have really taken a turn for the better.

I just want to say, Thank You so much to Marcia and Kelli (And Steve!). Seriously, if it weren't for them, Sammie and Oreo probably wouldn't be here today. I don't know if either of you truly understand what great people you are, I know I bothered you guys with a TON of questions and neither of you ever got tired of helping me.

You are both Super people and we (The Leo Community) are so Lucky to have you!

Jeanne, I am so glad they are doing better. I was sorry to hear about Dominoe, but take heart in the fact that you did everything you could for her. Thanks for posting the pictures also, they look great! And you are very welcome.

Jeanne,
They are looking pretty good there. I was expecting to see some very thin sickly lookig animals. I beleive they are well on their way to a complete recovery. Good job!!!
Robin

Jeanne,
They do look really good! On the road to recovery. Sorry for your loss. :(
I am still curious how they developed this, did the vet have any ideas?

Thanks Robin. They do look great now. But, a few weeks ago, Sammie wasn't looking so good. She wasn't bone thin, but she was a little thinner and her colors were so dark.

Luckily for Oreo, she was the last to get the infection, so she didn't have it as long as the others so she didn't sffer as much.

Good to see they're pulling around. Hopefully everything works out. Definitely in some good hands :)

This Makes Sense......

Someone I know told her vet about the bacteria infections and this was his answer, makes a lot of sense.

Jeanne, I had to take a gecko to the vet today and told him about your problem and what bacteria was appearing in your geckos eyes. I told him how it was very strange because both of her daughters had the same bacteria, and your vet was thinking it was perhaps genetic. He said bacterial infections are not genetic. However, the mother could have had the pseudomonas and may not have been showing symptoms right away. The pseudomonas could have very easily gotten on the eggs from the mother. Then the eggs are kept nice and warm and damp - just the kind of conditions that encourage the bacteria to grow and when the babies hatched they got it from the shell. This makes a lot of sense to me and clears up a mystery (at least in my mind). He said the pseudomonas is the worse of those two bacterias, the other one was more of a secondary infection. Anyway, I thought you would like to hear a 2nd opinion so to speak. I have a lot of confidence in this doctor, he is the best I've seen.
