    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Now for my .02:
I usually try to avoid these threads because they are non-productive for the most part.  However, this one at least has shown some intelligent thought and posts.  Bear with me while I post a few thoughts of my own.  It isn't about being part of a clique, it's like minded people who want to make our hobby the best it can be.  I by no means belong to any 'group' here.  I'm a hobbyist who occassionally breeds her animals, nothing more or less.  I've only bought from a handful of people, most of whom were direct purchases at shows and do not post on this board.  While it can be harsh here at times, it is usually directed at people who are posting without any facts to back up their claims, false accusations (sound familiar?) or people who have blatantly tried to rip others off.  If you have all of your facts and can post/act as a rational person, you have nothing to fear from posting here.  Yes, many of us, myself included, voice our opinions on these threads without direct experience - but they are usually stated as such - opinions.  Sometimes we post questions to get clarification on the circumstances so that we can make an informed opinion or comment.  The more people who participate, the better our chances of keeping the hobby going with healthy animals and honest sellers and buyers.

As for myself, I have never seen anyone post here that was honest, informative, and fair be jumped on by anyone other than the person about whom they might be posting a Bad Guy report.  Also, I have never seen anyone be jumped on without some kind of evidence that they were a Bad Guy in some way.  Ever.

There have been times that the general consensus about a person was wrong, but it was ALWAYS because the evidence at hand pointed in one direction for a period of time.  However, in those rare instances, further evidence showed that we were in the wrong.  Furthermore, I believe that in those cases everyone involved appologized completely and did everything in their power to make things right for the falsely accused party(ies).

The FACT is that the BOI has helped hundreds if not thousands of people to steer clear of bad guys and their bad deals.  Anyone who says otherwise is either speaking from  ignorance or idiocy.  I have precious little tolerance for either.

Cliques?  We don't need no stinking cliques!
 
Okay, we are free to state our opinions, and I just nine pages, so I feel it is time to state mine.  I think that this board is a really good thing in the right hands and a REALLY bad thing when people freak out and blow things out of proportion.  It is funny, out of everyone that has posted in the last nine pages, there is probably only about ONE PAGE of perfectly good advice and well stated opinions, the rest is the garbage that seems to pop up in the threads when people get bored or start at each other's throats, which is the only problem that I see with the BOI.  I am not attacking anyone or pointing the finger at anyone in particular, I think that everyone that has posted had at least one good sentence ONE time.  It is amazing all of the personal attacks that come out of a thread this size.  Just my opinion, thanks for reading, I will get the lettered proof of my statements at a later date.

The only problem I have is that it seems only the guys offer it to me.

Gambino you are a very stupid man for trying to bring your points up on here.  They are not in line with the others and for that reason would have to be wrong.  The only other option would be for some of the other regular posters to be wrong and we all know that couldn't be an option.

This board is a very good thing if you do what others want.  If you don't, consider yourself a bleeding pig in a river full of piranha.  You will be eaten alive with no regard for you side of the story and there will be no accountability for their words.

Remember, this board exactly like a court of law without the right to a fair trial.  Being innocent until proven guilty or a right to any type of defense.

My words of wisdom for posting in here are to post one time in a topic and run so your words can only be twisted once.  It also makes it easy on the people that are dodging your questions as they only get asked once and if three of four times it gets harder to avoid the question.

Good luck all, and please note I didn't read pages 2-8 however I agree with the mainstream 100% and I'm sure the prick that started this thread was way out of line.

I would just like to voice my opinion and I am sure the four or five that police this site will agree with me the BOI is a place for all to tell good stories and bad experiences some people like it some dont that is life we can not agree on everything thank you Jimmie Edmonds

You know, I believed you Adam.  Where before, I simply thought you were stiffing someone else, I now feel you have lied to me (not to mention everyone else).  *sigh*  I'm disappointed (not that you care).  I thought you had gotten onto the right track.  I guess not.  How discouraging.
 
You know, I couldn't even bring myself to read this entire novel.  And he was wrong to accuse Neil and Rob of wrongdoing w/ no proof.  But, he is correct in saying that the BOI has problems.  

The biggest problem I see is that, while there seems to be plenty of rules in place, no one is enforcing them.  Here and there the Webslave pops up and deletes something, but there is no consistency.  I know he is very busy this time of year, probably way to busy to how time to read all the crap that gets posted here.  But, IF you are going to have rules, you have to follow them.  As an example, top of the page a warning about multiple posts concerning the same topic.  Yet all the multiple posts remain.  There must be 15 posts about Neil at this point, several about shadiguy, and who know what else.

When this board started, I read almost every post put up.  Now at least half of them are complete garbage, yet they are allowed to remain.  I know personnally, webslave deleted some of my posts last year because I didn't follow the rules exactly.  And when he did I went back and fixed the problem so that my opinion could be heard.  I think that if someone feels strongly enough about a topic they will eventually read the rules so that the webslave will stop deleting their posts.

I guess my point is: There's no point having a rule that is only sometimes enforced.  Make rules you can live with and stick to them.
