Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy The Veiled Chameleon / Steven Vigo

Anyone that has lost money to Steve Vigo should call the Sunrise Police Dept at
954-746-3600 and file their own report.

refer to case # 421212066072 and or 421212066120. The more cases filled the better. The detective will be going over the numerous complaints here on this board.

The detective for the Sunrise Police Dept just called to advise for individuals who are interested in filing a report against Steve Vigo to contact Tamarac Broward Sherrif's Dept at 954-765-4321 and ref case # 421212066072. He encouraged as many people as possible to file. The higher the fraud total, the more resources they can assign to the case. He just spoke to Steve who lied once again and advised the refunds have been issued, and to save those records. How you feeling Steve? Can you handle lawsuits in TX and FL at the same time? I actually had the same thing happen and called the sheriff office and got the runaround transferred 6 times I have received from Steve numerous excuses about my money and why he hasn't refunded it. Even with a Paypal Claim he has yet to respond to it. After both animals being shipped in a plain box in cold weather with no heat pack I still didn't receive everything I paid for this guy is horrible and continues to ripoff the hobby!

I know this response is going to be some time later than the original complaint...but i needed to post this! Unfortunately i did not find this post until it was to late! I ordered what seemed like a no brainer screen cage from "The Veiled Chameleon" on March the 2nd 2013, well its now April 3rd and still NO cage...i have literally 15-20 emails back and forth inquiring as to where my cage is...well after may promises turning into many lies i began to get upset, which in turn caused him to produce more promises and more lies! So then i began to threaten him with disputing the charge on my credit card and to do what im doing right now, until then suddenly for some unknown reason...he started threatening me with canceling the order...yeah the one that was supposed to have been shipped weeks before! So i took a deep breath and began to apologize for demanding something that i had already payed for nearly 4 weeks prior!!! Well i gave it another week (till today) and emailed him again, to my surprise the shipping manager told me that the cage was held back because I HAD DISPUTED the charge! Which i did not, i wasted this much time i wasn't turning back now! So now i am still waiting to see if my credit card has either been refunded or not! I have never, in my life, had a more disgusting experience with a business transaction as this! PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYHING from this guy..THE WORST EVER, and i still dont have a cage or a refund!!
 
ok now nobody will respond to my emails or phone attempts. I contacted my credit card co and he in fact has been paid via my credit card weeks ago, and yet the shipping dept today, a guy named Mike sent me an email saying that the cage is not being sent due to a charge-back! This is an outright LIE! I have a credit card statement to prove he has been PAID! I have tried to contact the Sherrifs dept from above but cant get a hold of anyone! Does anyone know what to do next? HELP!! This guy needs to be in jail!!!

He's been threatened and pursued by many members of this forum. Chances are, you are not going to hear from him through any means. It's just what he does, and apparently he does it very well. His name, his wife's name, and several of their various alias's, are well known to the reptile community. Unfortunately, you just aren't going to get law enforcement to go after a guy who steals from people one lizard (or cage) at a time. Sorry you got taken. Many of us understand what you're feeling.

There must be a way to at least smear him on internet searches! Heck ive seen bad reviews come up before the business i was looking for! I just cant believe that this day in age people can do this...and continue to do this! And people wonder how violence continues? Well thank you for your response!

He has been and will be again sooner or later. As sorry as they get. The one i really feel sorry for is his young daughter. She is screwed for life with a role model such as Steve Vigo for a father. Dispute the charge as non received merchandise asap. Pm me and ill get u in touch with the detective to be added to the list.

Hello BOI people, I was wondering if this is the "The Veiled Chameleon" facebook page for Steve Vigo. It looks like it could be.

That is his page, and he watches it at all times (probably via cell phone alerts). You won't get a negative contact to stick for more than a minute or so, at which time you will be blocked.

People commenting on their page could be messaged though with a link to this forum. I know it would be kind of time demanding but could also detour at least some of his business.

So you wouldn't say anything to him, just kind of troll him by making the customers aware of his bad habits.

I don't know how to do that, but if you want to try, I don't see why not. You'd be mostly dealing with people who are new to the hobby, as he is fairly infamous among the reptile community. You have to be careful how you come across to newcomers, who may think you are simply bashing the competition.

Oh man if someone could figure a way to burn this guy or at least be a thorn in his side! This day in age how could there not be a way to hurt this guys business? Or him for that matter, doesnt anyone live near him to pay him a visit? Im ready to fly down there and and destroy this guy myself!! Seeing as how the police dont seem to be doing much! Man the govt will lock u up for spitting in public but this guy gets to run free and rip people off?...it just aint right!!!!

True, hopefully the detectives will eventually have enough evidence to prosecute him for so many countless frauds. All the reptiles he post looks like he bought them cheap wholesale then he tries to flip them right away for a quick dollar. He is at 800 likes on his page.
Has anyone had back experiences with his auctions? He seems to only sell beginner reptiles that people will impulse buy.

The oddest part is on his facebook page and his website is he NEVER mentions his name. It seems he will never make much more than a few hundred here and there as only newbies would buy from him.

Also does he vend at any of the reptile shows in Florida? Hopefully if so the people that run the events could be notified.
