    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

MY NAME IS WILLIAM CAMPBELL I ORDERED A WATER MONITOR FROM STEVE VIGO AT THE VEILED CHAMELEON. WHEN I ORDERED THE WATER HE SEEMED REALLY HELPFUL BUT AFTER MANY FALSE DELIVERY DATES AND MISSED DAYS OF WORK THINKING MY NEW PET WOULD BE ARRIVING AND DIDNT COME IT FINALLY ARRIVED. WHEN I OPENED THE BOX I PULLED OUT A WATER MONITOR ON THE BRINK OF DEATH! THE POOR GUY COULDNT EVEN MOVE I PUT HIM ON A BRANCH IN THE CAGE CLOSE TO THE HEAT SO HE COULD WARM UP BUT HE JUST SLUMPED OF THE BRANCH AND LAYED THER NOT MOVING UPSIDE DOWN...THE POOR GUY ONLY LIVED TWO HOURS! I EMAILED STEVE RITE AWAY AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD MAKE IT RITE I SENT THEM PICS AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF! WELL I AM NOT A VERY PATIENT PERSON AND AFTER A FEW DAYS OF NOTHING I EMAILED STEVE AND WAS TOLD THAT HE HAD A NICE PLUMP HEALTHY WATER TO SEND ME..WELL AFTER A WEEK OR SO OF NOTHING I WAS TOLD THAT THE WATERS WERNT HEALTHY ENOUGH SO I ASKED FOR A BLACKTHROAT AND I WAS TOLD THAT WOULD WORK AND THAT IT WOULD BE SHIPPED OUT ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY. WELL NOTHING AGAIN BUT THIS TIME HE JUST IGNORED ME FOR BOUT A MONTH AND BY THIS TIME I WAS GETTING PRETTY ANGRY....WELL ONE DAY I DECIDED TO EMAIL THEM AGAIN FOR THE HUNDRETH TIME AND I TOLD THEM I WAS GOING TO SEEK LEGAL ACTION AND THEY RESPONDED WOW!!!!! BUT..... HIS NAME WAS KEVIN AND HE WAS GOING TO MAKE IT RITE? WELL HE SAID HE WOULD SEND ME ANOTHER WATER BUT ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS PAY ANOTHER 57.00 FOR SHIPPING. I REFUSED IF THEY HAD SENT ME HEALTHY WATER IN THE FIRST PLACE WE WOULDNT BE GOING THROUGH THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE...AFTER ALOT OF DELIBERATION BACK AND FORTH THEY FINALLY DECIDED IT WOULD BE EASIER TO JUST GIVE ME A REFUND AND I WAS ACTUALLY HAPPY WITH THAT I WAS GLAD IT WAS OVER............OR SO I THOUGHT I RECIEVED NO REFUND AND THEY ARE BACK TO IGNOREING ME ONCE AGAIN AT THIS POINT I DONT KNOW IF I WILL EVER GET THIS MATTER RESOLVED AND I AM LOOKING IN TO LEGAL HELP.....................?:angry:

As reprehensible as it is that they (he and Karin Lieber) continue to scam, lie, steal photos and steal people's hard-earned cash, it's justas reprehensible that more and more of their "healthy" animals appear to be neglected, sick and nothealthy.

Scum.
 
Sorry to hear that you had to go through that, getting an animal on the brink of death and seeing it die is never a good experience... Did you by any chance pay through paypal? If so you can always try a charge back stating that it wasn't as described. You may have to go through a little battle by needing to show your proof etc. etc, but it is probably your best shot at getting your money back.

It seems this isn't the first time that company has done something repulsive to someone. However, if you could copy and paste any email correspondence you had with them, that would help greatly. Screenshots work too, but if you don't know how to do that then I think copy + paste is fine.

It definitely isn't the first! And once "theveiledchameleon" name is tarnished they will more than likely move on to another name.

Although, there are a lot of horrible mass producer "exotic pet" "farms" that have a horrible name but are still some of the main distributors to pet stores.

Hopefully the OP gets their money back!
 
They actually have a pair of parsonnii for sale now for $2000 apiece. I really want a parsons but I wouldnt trust this guy with .02 much less 2k of my hard earned cash. What a piece of work.
 
Let me guess they called you right back when you said you were looking at the 2000 dollar parsons. lol Thats actually a pretty good price from what Ive seen online. But I'll let someone else take that chance. I dont gamble with those types of people or with that kind of $$. Sorry dont mean to hijack this thread. Just wanted people to look out as they are posting some high dollar animals.

Man that's BULL****!!

You can tell by the way he addressed you in the emails and the formatting that both "Kevin" and "Steve" are most likely the same person. I'm disgusted by looking at that animal.
 
That poor animal suffered horribly :( I'm so sorry you had to go through this with them.. definately not the first time. Good luck and hope things get resolved.. that's why the BOI is such a good tool... it's good to be able to do your research before you purchase.

As for the Parsons... Extremely difficult Chameleon to care for properly and I would definately be wary.. If they can't properly care for a Monitor.. what do you think the condition of the chameleons are going to be in?? Beware.. don't give this company your hard earned money! They definately don't deserve it,

It appears that it was a direct charge to his credit card....though I would warn the OP against emailing credit card information in the future. Companies that take credit card payments online are required to use encryption services, for the protection of the the consumer.

In this case, the OP is lucky - provided that he hasn't let too much time go by. One actually has a decent chance of getting the charge removed by the actual card company....vs none at all when dealing with PayPal (they do not recognize item not as described complaints outside of eBay purchases)

William - I suggest that you cancel that credit card immediately. You posted the entire account number and security code, along with your name and address on the internet.
 
I thought about it for a few, and decided that it was more appropriate to remove his whole post than to edit out the information.
William - please repost the email stream (minus your credit card info, of course)
