In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You know, a simple ip address check might confirm (or not) your suspicions. Perhaps one of the mods could look it up, hmm.

I normally don't like to post IP addresses any longer, but anyone who knows what this means knows how useless the info really is.
It also rules out some people as being Mr. Shrillomn who do not have the knowledge and internet expertise to be able to utilize this sort of IP spoofery.

How frustrating. The first address shows as originating from Florida, the others do not list a state. You're right, it is useless.

OK, (sorry to keep making new posts but I can't edit old ones) I used a different and much better ip address locator and all but two of them are located in the Tampa, Florida area. A couple of examples..
The last three digits are the telephone area code. So if I was a betting man, I would say that our friend Shrillow is from Florida, somewhere in the Tampa area.

I can't speak for Sal, but Neil has been on the other side of the state for some time, and is twice as far from Tamp as I now am. If Rich or Steve or someone in the know can chime in again, but does the fact that many of these seem to be in the Tampa area, and perhaps associated with government work, indicate a solid connection ? Or could they be further distant and somehow still be able to use what seems to be a shot-group of IP addresses in that area ?

I don't know Jim. I get the feeling that this entity will feel the footsteps getting closer, and have to make serious changes, if not disappear. Agree or disagree with his or her opinions, to get caught taking shots at someone from an alias would be enormously embarrassing.

It's possible. I would guess that one of the posts (the first?) originated from a computer owned by the Manatee County Government. Of course, one explanation for this could be that the person posted from a public library computer...

To those of you who question my motives in remaining anonymous, sometimes
things can be said and accomplished anonymously far easier than in the
direct spotlight. Rest assured that my main focus is the health and
longevity of this site which I consider an excellent resource to the
community at large. My main objection is the vigilante attitude which has
begun to invade most of the more useful threads here. My choice of an alter
ego was not random. I carefully targeted the one person I consider to be
the most damaging to the continued credibility of this site. This is not
because of any personal animosity. I truly believe that Wes believes he is
doing good with his antics. The problem arose when he began to believe he
could actually walk on the water instead of swimming like the rest of us.

This thread is not about Pez, Wes, JimF, Lucille, or me for that matter. It is about the behavior and unwanted flame wars that seem to arise on this forum a little too often.
It is about being accountable for our action's, behaviors, and making fauna a better place for all of the members here......Sad people....really sad.
