    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Whether you like it or not, with rights come responsibility.

I, for one, am glad to see the broadcast industry be held accountable for their actions and systematic desensitizing of Americans to lower standards.

And yes, I went to that site and read the petition. I personally found it to be mere drivel and a naive misinterpretation of the First Amendment.

Someone doesnt want the limitation on their rights but cant see when they are more than willing to limit someone elses rights.

I don't necessarily agree with the amout of the proposed fines, I mean a PER VIEWER fine? That's a little excessive, however I agree with the majority here....BAAAAAAA! I thought I recognized some of my own. Wanna get together later and jump a fence? LOL. No seriously, I don't see anything wrong with it, after all should anyone ever have to look at Dennis Franz's naked A$$? I could have lived without it. And Janet at the superbowl? I mean 15 years ago I wouldn't have minded it a bit (read:teenage boy) but now it's done constantlyand it's almost 100% tasteless and pointless. Rent a porn if you want to see stuff like that.

I am a healthy somewhat less than middle age man with a healthy appetite for the opposite sex, I'm not a prude, but if I want to see that kind of "entertainment" I'll go to a club or read playboy.I don't go around stuffing dollars into every woman's G-string and I don't read playboy at Mcdonalds. There is a time and a place for everything, prime time is not it.

A lot of the fauna email gets sent to my junk file do to the filters I have. So did realize you had asked me a question.

Actually I was refering to the original poster who wants the word police to go away and then gets miffed when we express an opinion that they dont like. In actuality I totally agree with what you responded.
 
Isnt the market place supposed to set the standards? If the FCC wants to clean up the airwaves then it should be straight across the board. Oprah and others have recently used foul language broadcast across the airwaves with no fines. Spanish radio has been breaking the rules completely for years going great lengths beyond what is acceptable in english. Ryan Seacrest and a few others have spouted obscenities over the airwaves also. Why are none of these people being fined? Why Howard Stern? What are the rules that we are talking about from the FCC, and if Howard is breaking them why are they pulling up complaints from years ago? I know some say who cares if Howard is gone, but I know I and hundreds of thousands others love listening to his show every morning and makes getting through work that much more pleasent. I wonder what they will take next?
