It's contest time here in Fauna’s Bearded Dragon forum! It should be a lot of fun and everyone is welcome to participate. It will be a photo contest and here is how it breaks down.
Rules:
The theme for this photo contest will be Halloween. Your entries must be related to the theme or they will be removed. Be creative and keep in mind that Halloween is more than just candy, witches and goblins.
Any member wishing to post an entry must have a post count on Fauna Classifieds of 50 or more. This rule is in place to ensure an active member and not a "one post wonder" wins the contest. I'm sure everyone would agree that if a new member who joined only for the contest won, that it would be a little unfair to those of us who take the time to make this forum a friendly and fun place. If you are a new member who would like to participate in the contest - you still have time to participate in the forums and make the minimum post count.
The contest will run from now until Oct 24th.
Photos must be originals and must have been taken by the member submitting the picture.
You may enter as many pictures as you would like… the more you enter the greater your chances of winning.
PLEASE RESIZE YOUR PICTURES. Pictures that are so large that they warp and distort the flow of the thread will be removed. You will then be asked to resize the picture and repost it. (If you need help resizing a picture email it to Mike at [email protected] and he will resize it for you.)
No photo-shopped, altered or enhanced photos will be accepted.
Voting:
Due to the amount of entries that may be posted, a panel of 5 non-participating judges will be used to narrow the entries down to 15. A public poll will be used to pick the winner out of the top 15 pictures chosen by the judges.
All members of fauna will be able to vote and each members choice will be available for the public to see. Suspicious votes will be investigated and not counted if found to be a "fake".
Voting will begin on Oct 25th and the winner will be announced on Halloween day.
Prizes:
First place: A $100.00 credit on any purchase from www.Dachiu.com. The credit can be used to purchase any dragon that is available on the website. The credit will be valid until Dec 31st 2006.
Second place:
A $50.00 gift certificate for ReptileDirect.com courtesy of www.RebelDragons.com
Third place: A contributor membership on FaunaClassifieds.com courtesy of www.SheltonsSnakes.com (JunkYard) If the 3rd place winner already has a contributor membership or above, a substitute prize or equal or greater value will be offered.
OK, that should be it… well, except for the pictures!
