    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello- My name is Cynthia Peticolas-Stroud and I live in Salem Oregon. I have purchased over 50 snakes- entirely over the internet from inexpensive to very expensive ones. Only one person DID NOT send me the snake that I paid for. He not only didn't send me the snake that I have paid for but didn't send me ANY snake. I will be pursuing legal action via the legal system. I cannot comment on anything other than he has had my $850 for nearly a year now and has never sent me the snake. At this point, I only want my money back. I paid with paypal and would appreciate any advice on how to get my money refunded. Cynthia Peticolas-Stroud
 
To bad you didn't read up on him here on the BOI.

I think its only possible to recover money from paypal if its within 30 days from the initial payment. But I wish you the best of luck getting your money back. Patches tried to con me a couple times as well, but I never sent him any cash as I could smell CON all over him.
 
If you use a credit card to supply funds to your paypal account for purchases you can go through your credit card company to get the charge reversed.

You will want to contact the FBI internet fraud task force. They will supply you with resources and guidance.

You will also want to make it clear to the seller that you plan to pursue this as fraud and that it is made a federal crime as state to state commerce via the internet.
 
Big surprise, William Horn is a lowlife cheat, there was recently a thread about him misrepresenting specimens he was selling, not to mention a nice handful of bad guy posts similar to yours. I wish you the best of luck persuing this matter.

Hey briarpatch contacted me about pancakes too. I am so glad I found this board......I will not be sending him my $..... The pictures he sent looked wierd to me-ie highly edited and potentially pirated. I'm afraid to trust anyone now!

In all fairness to all the wonderful other vendors on the internet that I have purchased from, I wouldn't be afraid to order over the internet. 50 snakes- all from the internet and only 1 dead beat person- I'd say that was a pretty good record and says alot about the people on Kingsnake.com where I located most all of my snakes. Please don't advertise or in anyway help the website your listed in your above post on this forum...

The reason is quite simple: they don't even allow you to type the name of this website on their forum boards (if you do, the post is censored, or deleted altogether), so it really isn't fair to be posting their name on this website. There are tons of great vendors who post on this site, maybe you should check out the FREE classifieds here. Just my .02.
