In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Thomas Dorn - aeterrabyte

As long as this thread has been bumped, I thought I'd make another video. Lucky's been home 9 days...she's eaten 2 live hoppers and she's up to 121 grams.

Anyway, :deadhorse . Here's the video:

Clearly she's not dying, defective, junk, etc. I really don't know what could have caused her to behave as she did in Thomas' first video.

Lucky is looking great, Rob.
In fact, in that video, you exhibited much more wobble than she did. LoL :>poke2<: ;)
It is clear (as has been suspected) that something had occurred, while in Thomas' care, to make her "wobble" as pronounced (or extreme) as it was "back when".
Very nice to see, and hear of, her doing so well.

PayPal has decided to challenge the chargeback. The credit card company has 75 days after February 8 (I think) to make a decision. Since the claim is 'significantly not as described', I have tried my best to lay out a case for her being healthy when she left my house, and healthy when she was returned. Thomas has been pretty careful to not directly say that this is the case.

I am not expecting to win. If I lose, I'll have to resell Lucky or her big sister (last year's clutch). If I win, I'd like to auction Lucky here and donate the proceeds to Fauna.

I hope that Thomas is not 'rewarded' for the behaviors he has exhibited here (and elsewhere). We probably won't know for at least a month, but I'll continue to update this thread as events occur.

He has not emailed me since the last time I posted his emails here.

Wow. I just got done reading EVERYTHING. It took forever and all I can say in summery is WOW. I think that too many people have grown up with the internet and the (false) feeling of being anonymous and thinking that they can't be held accountable for their words or actions. I got this information from BP.net and I will make sure to send others here as well. This monster of a inquiry has been extremely informative! The BOI is so incredibly valuable that I really wish more people would utilize it.

Mr. Thomas and whatever else he called himself was called to back up his claims and he managed to repeatedly strangle himself with his own words.

Mr. Rob conducted himself calmly and didn't fall into the name calling game that could have spawned. I would really suggest you (Everyone) take the time to iron out your TOSs so that they are crystal clear.

To Mr. Thomas- You will never have my business or any of my family.

To Mr. Rob- I am sorry for this experience but I am thankful that it got out there so others can be aware! I am not a big fan of spiders and spider morphs but that little snake is stunning and would be thrilled with her in my home. You will have no problem getting a good home for her now that she has every one's heartstrings!

To the BOI- Keep doing what you do!

After seeing the videos you posted Rob, I still don't understand how a vet and an "experienced" snake owner can say that Lucky is defective :shrug01: To me she is a healthy, normal snake with a slight wobble. In no way does she need life support or a feeding tube. What's Mr. Dorn's response to these videos? Or is he denying it's the same snake? I know for sure that Lucky will have no problems finding a home nor should she have to worry about being force fed.

Don't shoot the messenger...

This post is unrelated to the transaction that took place between Rob H. and Thomas, and has nothing to do with my opinion on that subject.
I am simply posting to share the details of a transaction involving Thomas Dorn and myself that took place about two weeks before Rob H. and Thomas began their transaction, and five weeks before this thread was started.
I had a transaction with Thomas Dorn in November of 2012, and it really was flawless.
Thomas was "the perfect customer" in our transaction.

Thomas inquired about purchasing two animals from me at 12:18AM on 11/18/12.

One of the animals he inquired about was an adult female Albino that I had advertised with a sub adult male Albino Black Pastel.
I really did not want to sell the female Albino separately, but I accepted his offer, and made a counter offer that included the male Albino Black Pastel.

Thomas decided to take me up on the counter offer, and purchased the male Albino Black Pastel, along with the two females that he initially inquired about.
Thomas made full payment at 1:30AM, just over one hour after his first inquiry.

With it being Nov.18th, I wanted to delay shipping until after the Thanksgiving Holiday.
I asked Thomas if he was okay with me shipping out on Nov.26th for arrival on the 27th,
to which he replied, "Ship them when ever you feel is best for you and the snakes."

When the time came, I confirmed his shipping address and shipped out as planned.
Thomas contacted me as soon as the snakes arrived to let me know that they were safe and sound, and that he was happy with his purchase.

I'd never shoot you, Robert! I am very glad that your experience with Thomas went well.

I never really understood Good Guy or Bad Guy labels for buyers until this happened to me. I'll never consider it 'automatic' again.

man she looks like she doing great rob I am glad it turned out ot be low stressed for the snake in the long run lol if i had the chance i purchase her lol but sadly my accounts are empty. I hope she continues to thrive and for her new owner or in your care if you don't sell her later on.
:reddevil: now off to find some kindeies to sell for snakes lol

Well, the CC company decided in Thomas' favor (see below). I'll be listing Lucky's big sister tonight, I guess. He checked in at BP.net a couple days ago; I don't know if he's seen the new video or not.

I'm so sorry you lost the chargeback, Rob, but anyone reading this thread can see for themselves how it all really went down. I and others have said that we would be happy to do business with you, for myself I can't say the same of Thomas Dorn.

Man, I was really hoping you would win the charge back. What a bummer.

Rob you have been a heck of a stand up guy through all of this, you are top shelf in my book.
