• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

First and foremost, I am NOT claiming this guy is trying to scam, but his ad definitely seems fishy. Link to ad:

He's removed the picture in question but here's a screenshot:

That picture belongs to a fellow Fauna member who happens to be one of my Admins on my forum, and a good friend. She hatched this animal not long ago and posted many pics of it on our forum, here:

The other images in his ad also appear to belong to someone else. Just a heads up

Another one bites the dust. And another one does and another one does, another one bites the dust.

I honestly don't think a single one of the photos are his. I'd be curious to see what the response is if you asked for a new photo of the snakes with a hand written note card beside them.

Good catch!

IMO, i think the phrases "I don't have a camera at the moment", or "I take lousy pictures" are a few that comes to mind if the OP was asked to provide new photos, but that's just me.

Awesome Job catching this, Abby:thumbsup:

Anyone know what 'DNZ' means?

Also, the grammer suggests he is not placing the ad from Houston TX, but I could be wrong.

Anyone know what 'DNZ' means?

I was wondering the same thing.

This was the result of my googling the term.

Acronym Definition
DNZ Democratic National Union (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
DNZ Demokratska Narodna Zajednica (Serbian: Democratic National Union)
DNZ Diabetes New Zealand Inc.
DNZ Domain Name Zone (blog)

Either way here's at least one more possible scammer caught be vigilant folks here.

Wonder if he's even going to plead his case?

I generally don't participate in these BOI threads except to contribute positive statements when needed... However I will verify that is my exact picture, taken by me, taken in my home in my hatchling rack, and IS my albino produced this year. My images are subject to copyright laws.

Abby thank you so much for the catch and alerting me to this.

Here's a few more
DNZ-Digital New Zealand

DNZ- Destination New Zealand

DNZ- Drag and Zip- in regards to computer files

I am seriously gonna have DNZ on my mind all day today, just trying to figure it out.

LOL!!! Me too!! I can't seem to find anything related to reptiles.

DMZ-Dumb Moron Zone?

Susan I'm glad you posted here. It really upsets me when people's pics get lifted.

I'm thinking it has to do with Drag and Zip files function that a person can download to their computer. If i understand the function correctly, a person can "zip" certain files from their computer to another location. I'm probably wrong, but this is the only thing i can think of. :shrug01:

Maybe, that may have come from the way he was lifting the files and thought DNZ had to do with a hatch date or something. It's certainly perplexing and my co-workers have come up with a few (not fit for BOI) definitions.

Well, it didn't take him long to do it again:

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?p=971983#post971983

The OP emailed me two zip files with a total of six photo's. My gut told me these weren't his, so I contacted Ralph Davis at RDR and he confirmed these are his photo's of one of his 2008 clutches, and he also confirmed that he did not sell any of these to Thomas Muller.

In case 'Thomas' decides to take the pics down, screenshots are attached, and I can forward the email from Ralph to any interested party.

Good job  Doesn't surprise me, I saw you doing some detective work over on that thread and was just waiting to see who the pics were stolen from... Amazing that he would try pulling something like that SO soon after being caught the first time. Some people :ack2:

Oh no way!! I knew, knew, knew when I looked at that add the pics looked really familiar!! I had totally seen those cage cards before! Did he email you the photos too? Geez two stolen pic threads in a row!
