Thoughts on Crop Circles

This is the closest forum on here for this. Any thoughts or ideas? Its already been shown they can't be produced with the " stepping on the board " thing. The first reported siting was 842 A.D.

Actually, I was under the impression that the rope and board method had pretty much been proven, and that several hoaxers had admitted to being behind many of them.

Maybe there is something to them, maybe not, but some are quite definitely hoaxes (though that doesn't preclude some genuine ones, but it does cast doubt).

The rope and board method

can be used but is pretty easy to distingish since it has a tendancy to lay the plants down differenty , generally breaking or folding the plants.

It can't be used to creat the more elaborate crop circles that contain the different designs inside one another or the ofshoot designs. The rope would break or damage the plants that were intended to be left standing. There is also the supposed DNA changes in the plants that are being investigated. It seems the seeds and plants have been altered at a cellular level in some cases.

The rope and board method was shown to take too long to make in one night and also they are not nearly as "perfect in shape" as most crop circles are. I'll look up some sites that talk about crop circles.

UFOs?

This has always been a touchy subject to bring up, and I guess my attitude about them is "Why not?" No reason why there can't be life on other planets, and certainly it would be egotistical for us, as a race, to think we are the epitome if evolution in the universe.

So every once in a while I will pick up a book to read or just skim over, and most are of the GEE WHIZ variety with bad photos, and breathless accounts from the best friends of eye witnesses. Well a while back, I picked up a book because I was doing a show and needed some reading material for the trip... The book is called The Threat by David M. Jacobs. Definitely of a different flavor from what I was expecting. Matter of fact, I would have to say it was one of the more disturbing books I have ever read.

Yeah take them all with a grain of salt, but there is too much going on about them for it all to be malarkey. Heck, from all of the odd things that come out of Washington DC, it wouldn't take much to convince me they were all aliens there anyway....

I never could unstand

How anyone could look at all the stars in the sky and think we were it in the known and unknown universe. Every star we see is/could be a sun for whole group of planets just like our little corner of space. Why not have more life past where we can reach?

I have heard people claim that they don't believe in aliens and UFOs simply because they just don't land on the White House lawn and say "Howdy! What's for lunch?"

Well sheesh, maybe to them it would be like visiting the rats living in the lowest sewers in New York City. Or our dropping in for a cup of sloth fur tea with natives in some lost tribe in the Amazon. Maybe they just don't WANT to fraternize with us. Maybe we don't have a single solitary thing to offer them at all.

Maybe they are smart enough to realize what a blow it could be to humanity's ego to learn just how low we are on the evolutionary scale, comparatively. We're supposed to be the epitome of creation, right?

I used to love starting that conversation with some folks I know. They swear GOD created the stars to give us something to look at. Being closed minded is an understatement for these people.

I'm really glad to have found this forum because I've always been deeply fascinated with things typically lumped into the category of "paranormal," and it's nice to have a group of folks with whom to talk about it who are interested, but not fanatical -- in other words, open-minded

On the topic of crop circles: One of the most interesting theories I have read regarded the crop circle phenomenon involves the three-dimensional rendering of certain musical sequences and then taking a footprint of this rendering. Apparently, some crop circles closely resemble the footprint of the three-dimensional rendering of well-known musical scales, suggesting that the circles are formed by some sort of auditory phenomenon. I have no idea how credible this theory is, or if it is even true (that the crop circles match the 3d musical footprint), but it is certainly fascinating.

Another interesting thing to note about crop circles is that they seem to congregate around "ley lines," energy lines in the earth around which such ancient marvels as Stonehenge were erected. These lines appear to be some sort of "bloodline of the earth..."

In my opinion it is some sort of unexplained earth phenomenon (not aliens ), but what's cool is that it is just that: Unexplained!!

Why would anyone assume that highly intelligent beings capable of traveling thousands of light years from their home would spend their time on earth screwing around in some poor farmers field?
Yeah, I can just hear them in their ships now saying, "Yes! after traveling for 1000 centuries we will finally reach our goal of messing with the minds of farmers everywhere (especially those next to collages.")
Of course, I guess this could happen if these were intelligent but very very silly aliens from the planet of Monty Python.
I think the rest of the aliens intelligent enough to travel here would tell you that we live in a universe completely controlled by the laws of physics. And NOTHING can break these laws. There are no spooky ghost, no devil and demons out for your soul, no God or Gods to punish the evil unbelievers to gnashing teeth and fire, no power of the mind over outside mass, no telepathy or psychic ability. There are only those who are
1. mistaken, ignorant of the facts of science or have highly illogical minds
2. brain washed by their elders, religion or the media and
3. the insane.
I'm sure if aliens did make circles in crops it would be a warning to other space travelers to quickly get away from the insane animals on this planet who kill each other in the name of their imaginary Gods.

I have seen that you can use the bored and rope but it will not look perfect and you Can only make the smaller ones. I think than universal space travelers make them mostally thought.
