tired & cranky shadow
I'm only making this thread because I was posting in the ads(consider this a big hint to those of you that enjoy doing hit & run posts in the classifieds - follow through...THIS is the place to be posting, not there).
Tillery registered yesterday (more on that later). Today, "she" posted an ad for marmosets. No pictures in the ad; but I found them in account's gallery. I'd seen 2 of the 3 in many scam ads; but I did the requisite search anyway. Those two images each had 10 pages of matches, the majority of which were scam ads showing locations across the US and around the globe. I think I know the origins of all 3 images...but the site currently showing them has a copyright statement of 2015 (though I found references dating back at least a few years). Either way, I'm not posting that information because my goal is not to provide advertising for him. Let it suffice to say that Tillery posted common internet photos in "her" gallery here, and her ad is a word for word match (excluding, perhaps, the price - I didn't pay attention to that) for many obvious scam ads. (I believe that the ad was taken piecemeal from the source of the images).
Just to add a bit of interesting coincidence, Tillery was registered on the same day, and from the same IP address, as Petfarmer. Petfarmer posted an ad for African greys yesterday. Again, no images...but that ad included a phone number. A search of that phone number revealed a variety of ads, with numerous locations shown. Parrots, puppies, and some pharmaceuticals...I think there were even a few for marmosets. The email shown also led to a second phone number, which was listed in many more pages of (scam) ads.
I'd advise anybody considering dealing with either of them to use due diligence before sending payment.
