    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased 2 of these timers from Walmarts. They were advertised as being extremely easy to set and needing no pins. The timer function is set up just like an alarm clock. They are rechargable though the electrical outlet and need no batteries. The face of the timer is self-explanatory.

Both of these timers failed on me. One stopped working after only 2 weeks and the other started having fading numbers...so I no longer trust it.

Jeez, if you can't trust Timex, who can you turn to. I've never tried any of the digital timers, just the big ol' blocky ones with the pins. They're ugly, but simple...and I never had one fail to work (I only had 4-5 of them, but I think I still have them in a box downstairs, lol)

I've had the mechanical ones fail... the ones where they have tabs for on/off and you push the tab down while sliding it to the correct time. I've had them get stuck in such a way so that the timer is still rotating but the tab is staying in place just before the point where it's supposed to toggle it on/off.

I have tried both, digital and the pin..I still have the timers that use pins laying around the house. Thanks for letting me know that they aren't all that reliable either.

Harald, I don't find the pins simple...and too many thingx can go wrong (pin can fall out, pin can fall out, pin can fall out) lol

I use Ingraham digital timers I found at Olleys for $4. I've used them for over a year so far without a single problem.
