In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi All!

I finally got my 6 month old 3 weeks ago. The breeder fed her a live mouse once a week and she had NO problems switching to f/t! I fed her Sunday, Saturday, Wednesday and then Saturday. SO - 4 adult mice in 3 weeks and... NO POO!!! :(

Should I not be concerned??

I noticed her belly is a little pink just above the vent (I don't know if it was always like that....)

Please give a rookie snake owner some advice.

Thank you.

I just did that and no go. Maybe it will help her overnight... my bigger concern is WHY isn't she going? Is it common for 3 weeks to go by with no poo?

Here is something i have noticed with my snakes, they do what they want, when they want, and the where they want. You may have snakes go off feed.. for no reason, season issues, or just a snake with his own mind. Sometimes the poop immediatly, sometimes they dont.. But the soaking does help to loosen the snake up a bit. Iv had my snake poop on me before.. like i said, what they want, when they want, and where they want. But it is good to ask questions if you dont know, its the only way to become and better and more informed owner! Thats what i did.

Girlfriend, my snakes only poop when they shed. My big girl went months. She had almost 20 mice in her digested before she pooped. Then she pooped two big handfulls of poo. I use plastic gloves to pick everything up,and boy did she unload. Unless she has a huge "HARD" lump at the base by her opening, I would't worry about it. Three weeks is nothing!!! Tha't s just an appetizer. Do you know what snaze poo looks like compared to the pee? the pee is yellow/white/greenish hard,DRY Chalky lumps that they pass along with liquid urine. This is usually every month that they will pee and have urate chunks. The poop looks and smells exactly like cat shit. The only thing in the poo is hair and water and usually pee chunks. They almost ALWAYS poo when they shed. My girl is old and only shed three to four times a year. a pink belly is a sign that a shed cycle is coming on and possibly a big poopy. You will know when they poop because it will stink up the entire room!!! Good Luck. Ps. There is sucha thing as a constipated snake, so if you think that he is sick and has lumps and a sore abdomen or is bloated.....take him to the vet.

Btw, snakes will also change in their habits as they get older. My oldest ball would go about once a week as a baby, and now he'll hang on to it for about 5 weeks or so.

UPDATE: She pooed!!! :) 3 weeks to the day of getting her. What a mess... liquid EVERYWHERE (but also solid poo and solid urates).

Ahh... it's the little things in life...

thank you for the replies!

Jonathan
