In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Tom,
Our recent deal is puzzling. You agreed to send me back my money for the nasty snakes you sent me and I sent them back to you warm and in the same condition. BUT WHERE IS MY MONEY YOU OWE ME????????????????

What did you purchase from him?? and what were the problems??
I was considering contacting him about a few snakes, but the price seemed to good to be true.

Tom Coonan

I bought three regular balls that he said were EXCEPTIONAL but when I got them they were very rough and nasty. So I sent them back for a refund AFTER we both agreed to this. He said he would refund my money and ???? After four weeks he continues to ignore my email, until I trick him with an email address he has never seen. AND NO MONEY... I'm so sick of this guy. I also posted an ad on KS and four other people have emailed me regarding him ripping them off as well.
Thanks,
Jason

Thanks for posting this.
Good luck getting your money back and keep us posted.

Tom C

No problem. Just wanted to warn everyone about him.

Should be banned

It would be really great if these scam artist can have there IP's banned from the sites where they are known be doing criminal activity.

He's a coward

I know. I wrote KS and hopefully he will be banned.

Don't hold your breath.
Kingsnake.com is not very receptive to customer complaints regarding scam artists using their classifieds.
You can pretty much expect to receive a form letter back that says in nicer words that they aren't responsible for anything other than collecting money from their classified account holders.

Good luck though and thanks for the warning.

Here's a copy of the letter you'll receive back...

Classifieds Coordinator

I received this when I reported that someone was selling venomoids in their non venomous colubrid classifieds. The seller included photos of him allowing his cobra to bite himself and fang puncture wounds on his hand apparently caused by a venomoid rattlesnake he was selling. I was just letting them know that this might not be the most responsible message to send to users of their site. They didn't seem to have a problem with it.

Their response to your complaint will be
"We are not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers. As a result, we have no control over the quality, safety or legality of the items advertised, the truth or accuracy of the listings"

I hope I'm wrong but......

FBI Internet Fraud Report

I issued my statment to KS and they sent me a letter telling me to file a complaint to the FBI Internet Fraud Department and I did then I sent them a copy and they said they will start an investigation.

Hey, he also said he had a business associate named Jim Pierson does anyone know him? Thanks all, Jason

I had inquired when he put his first ad up at the beginning of April. Lucky for me "he had just sold them"....

Thanks.

I dont' know if Tom Anderson of RetileTrader International is a member of this site????? There were many people that wrote me stating they didn't buy from him because he would get nervous when someone asked too many questions. I had a friend email him the other day and he is laying low now. He is about to get a letter from my lawyer in the next couple of days. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks all for your support, Jason

Tom Anderson refuses to return my emails after all this time. He has changed his ads on KS with the same het albinos for sale.

I am sooo glad I saw this thread. I inquired about the pair of "tame" gators for $165 shipped. I only wanted one of them to use as a programs animal. His price was a bit high for only one($110 shipped) but I figured since he has worked with it and it is already tolerant of people, it would be good for presentations.
I am not going to buy it now.
He sounds too much like a scammer, and I would probably end up with a super agressive animal that could never be used as a programs animal.
Thanks.

These statements are against Tom Anderson OF reptiletrader-international, NOT against the business of reptileTrader - international. Tom Anderson of this business has done me wrong not necessarily the business. Clarification, thanks all.
Jason

Honesty is always best.

What's the difference?

The email replies I got from Reptile Trader were from Tom Anderson's email addy but signed by Carol at the end of the note.

Anyways, this thread and the one by Al when he questioned the genetics on some BP's made me decide not to deal with them.

There is a inquiry on bearded pets thread that is very similar to this. B. Pets claims to get their Hets from a breeder in Georgia Eligah Collins. Could just be a coincidence or is it? It's worth finding out at least. Bearded pets burnt me for some hets. Claimed to have references and paperwork from the breeders, When I got the snakes they were pathetic little non feeding things and the only paperwork was a gaurantee from them for genetics with pics of the snakes that aren't even the snakes. People like this need to go to h e double hockey sticks. It's pitiful that someone would use peoples enthusiasm and dedication to a hobby just to burn them. If we can't trust fellow herpers who can we trust?
