    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

LOL, I don't know enough about it to know what the carbon filters are for.....
 
I later found that the going price on Ebay for 50 liters/40lbs. of this stuff is about $50 shipped. At the time I ordered, not being familiar with the leca or the going price, when he tacked on an additional $50 or so for shipping costs I just paid it. So not only does he have my funds, he charged twice what many other vendors charge.
I asked around about weight/volume and for my 8 small frog terrariums 50 liters would be more than enough, but the smaller quantities might not have been so that is why I went with 50.

going with the 50 liters/40lbs unit...

Just how big did you plan on your terrarium being? 200 gallon size or thereabouts? That still would not really use up 40lbs of the stuff unless you were going for really deep drainage. Unless the stuff they make now a days is MUCH heavier than it used to be. That huge box of the stuff I was talking about didn't weigh but maybe 25 lbs.

I'm sure lots of 'legit' folks shop at online hydro shops, I've toyed with growing orchids semi-hydro myself. But the reality is people who grow their own marijuana (both legally as well as illegally) have deep pockets and lots of these online growshops exist only to dip into them.

FWIW - a new popular trend is to use foam blocks or styro peanuts in place of the leca. Or skip it altogether and use a false bottom system

That is very interesting because on the website he lists 802-644-8443 as the contact number.
Just guessing here but one is his home and the other is his business. Both phone and addresses.

Perhaps I am just lacking in the skills department but I can find no Obits where Thomas Belrose is mentioned in Vermont.
 
Update, I tried to sign up for their website forums last night got the standard, "We will send you your password via email", message but have not gotten an email yet.
I decided to run both addresses through the MSN map program so I could use satalite images to see if I could determine which would be the more likely home address.

88 Mallets Bay Avenue, looks to be a warehouse/store or apt building on one side of the street and a small house on the other corner and is located a few miles North East of Burlington VT.

234 Page Hill Rd, is roughly 38 driving miles away from the other address and is for sure out in the country most likey the home addy.

I haven't been able to find anything with a mention of Belrose either, going as far back as the beginning of April.

Lucille, did this guy mention his daughter's first name? It's possible she didn't share his last name.
 
No, he didn't give a name. I sent him an email a few days ago, he has not responded at all. I wish he would just communicate, just anything.
 
I tried calling the 644 number twice and got a business answering machine.
 
He should be sending me a letter. When he started playing around with the Paypal stuff, telling me I had got a full refund when I knew I had not, Paypal affirmed I had not, and he later admitted I had not, I filed a notice with the DA in his state that I did not receive my funds.
I actually did not expect a response from a matter that would seem inconsequential to most big city DA offices, but I got a letter from them today saying they had sent him a written request and a copy of my filing.

A one sentence email saying he would resolve this would have made all this unneccessary. I think if buyers and sellers communicate, problems can be worked out.
