It was just brought to my attention that someone was on this site trashing my name.
First of all it is true that Dan and I were involved in a breeding project this year.
It involved a male ghost of his, and his spider.
I put the male ghost on three normals, two went. Clutch 19 produced 7 good eggs and 2 duds (I coded them all with Dan's name on them). 6 of them died pre hatch I froze these eggs with Dan's name on them. I still have them in the freezer If anyone would like pics. You can see that we're getting off to a great start in our business relationship.
Next up, clutch #31. 9 eggs all weird looking form the start. Began going bad on day 3 in the incubator. I called Dan and told him to come over. He and his wife get here, I pull off 4 rotten eggs with them standing right there and we threw them out. (funny Dan never mentioned any of this?)
That leaves of with 5 eggs that were very questionable. They made it to about week 6 and rotted. I also have these in the freezer so that I could show Dan what had happened. Once again pics can be provided. They were all coded Dan's Het Ghosts.
This again was not a fortunate outcome for either of us.
The thing about avoiding looking at snakes under the ultra sound is bull. We did that on at least four different occasions.
Now we get to the Spider loan. Dan called me the on the 16th of this month and said that someone told him I've got three clutches that produced Bumble Bees. And that he thinks I used his Spider to produce them.
I have, and will produce one clutch of 6 eggs this year that has the potential to produce Bumble Bees. And I didn't use Dan's snake to produce it.
I have a male Spider that is and was bigger than Dan's at time of breeding. I used it to breed the two large female Pastels that I wanted Bees from. Only one went.
Dan's snake (around 500gr) was used to try to get two other female Pastels (900gr-1000gr) to go. They didn't and I'm not surprised.
I also put his on three regular females so that we could split as many clutches of spiders as we could produce. One actually showed developing follicles on the ultra sound. They went to 18mm then turn around. That happens. Try to tell Dan that it's like talking to a brick wall.
Oh. I forgot to mention, he met me in the parking lot of the Hard Rock Cafe and gave me a clutch of eggs that he popped from a female he bought gravid from Five Star Morphs. This was before I was going in to play my poker tournament. He said not to worry that they probably wouldn't go any way. He was right. That snake was kept in his bed room during winter at no constant temperature (like the spider and ghost males)
I will conclude in saying that this whole breeding loan situation with Dan has been a learning experience for me. I was surprised that so many clutches (3) went bad. But looking back at it now realizing that none of the snakes on his end were cycled right It's not that unlikely that something like this could happen.
I assure you that after 11 years in this business I didn't wake up the other day and decide to rip a guy off for a couple clutches of Het Ghost.
Where are all the other negative posts about me on this site that all these rip off's have so many of.
Also if there is anyone who is reading this that has had a positive out come dealing with me down through the years, now's the time to chime in.
But I won't be surprised if they don't, because they are probably too busy working or doing other worth while activities rather than reading this drivel.

Many of the things that Dan has stated are out right lies, and I will be consulting with my lawyer on a defamation of character law suit. You'll be hearing from him Dan.

I might be exaggerating, but the snake was cold. Very cold. I told him that if he keeps that Spider at temps like that he will lose that snake. I will stand in open court and swear to that.
I don't like hearing that anyone's snake has RI. It didn't get it here. Dan called me about that snake being sick 5 weeks after he got it back. I gave that snake back to him around May 15th. So if it was so sick (a SPIDER!) why does he wait a month and a half to take it to the vet. If it really had RI when it left here and you waited that long with a 500gr snake, there would be a good chance that it would have been dead in that time frame. No one would have waited 51 days to get it to a vet.

I think it would be in all of our best interests to get to the bottom of this situation concerning Tom. That being Said, I do think Dan may have opened pandora's Box when he started this thread. It seems to have certainly brought Dan a large amount of unwanted negative attention.

Dennis, all I need to do is look at Tom's response and Dan's past, and the party is over. Dan is just being the Dan that he always has been. My suggestion to Dan would be to take some time away from posting and go out and buy a couple of heat pads...

While I am reluctant to take Dan's side here, as he is a known troll and bad-doer, Tom has posted a lot of bluster here without proof. Maybe it all is so, but maybe it isn't. Who really knows?
I would be more inclined to completely believe Tom if he hadn't immediately threatened lawyers and lawsuits. Most of the time it's the bad guys who do that. That doesn't mean Tom is a bad guy, but that observation is true at least nine times out of ten on this site. The other things that I have noticed bad guys do is claim that this will be the one and only time they will post on this site (as Tom did), though most do come back as they cannot resist.
Just because there are bad eggs with Dan's name on them does not mean that those were from the clutches that Dan was involved in. And we haven't seen them (Tom offered pics but didn't post them).
This comes down to a "he said, she said". My money is on Dan being the bad guy here but I am not 100% convinced. Of course then there is the issue of Dan being the pot calling the kettle black. That's the best case scenario for Dan, and even that is iffy. Karma? Perhaps.
Tom, do you have a gambling addiction? Are you on federal probation? If so, for what? With all due respect, a criminal record may or may not speak to character, depending on the issue(s) involved.
