In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well like I said....everyone's opinion is their own.
I will certainly find out if he can be trusted, and in my opinion it was worth the chance. we will see.

His arms and not his head and face? Scores high on the BS meter to me.

I have to agree with Critical Bill...

Men who remove all their body hair are unnerving.
I had a neighbor a few years ago that shaved his arms and legs...it was distracting and kind of creepy. LOL

My opinion is that it would take years of humble and selfless servitude to the reptile industry for me to trust Tom enough to let him shine my shoes. (Hey...Tommy...go get your shinebox!!).

He may have been one of the biggest and brightest...and brought in a good percentage of the original stock we are working with today...BLAH BLAH BLAH...

People the are blatently criminal like he has admitted to being are only in it for one thing, themselves. Besides that...with the types of crimes in which he was a counterpart (international smuggling of endangered species!!)...he is the kind of person that will destroy the very essence of the reptile industry. Because of people like this...laws get stricter, shows get tougher regulations, state and federal wildlife enforcement agencies get farther into our businesses AND our pockets (has everyone already forgotten the Daytona Show??) with their Gestapo tactics and incessant licenses and fees.

To support someone who is slefish enough to destroy what we all love for his own personal gain by allowing him back into the industry, giving him the benefit of the doubt, and putting money into his business is to support the downfall of the herp industry itself.

How long do you think his lesson (a vacation in Belize??) will keep him on the straight and narrow? When do you think he will start dragging people down with him?

If he decided to change trades...say open a pizza joint...I'd buy a pizza...but buy reptiles from him...not a snowballs chance in hell.

YES YES....this is what I was saying. Oh god thank you so much. Unnerving, unsettling, unnatural, distracting, whichever. Slap some perfume on him and call him Shirley. I just dont like it.

Wow imagine his girlfriend or wife calling up to him when he's in the bathroom and replying "one minute sweetie I'm shaving my legs". Holy crap wheres the Nair?

And what happened to Billy "Bats" after he said that? He didn't make it to the end of the movie as I recall. :)

Be careful there, he might shave but it looks like he could bench a Vulva...errrr.....I meant to say a Volvo. Hah!

Ok
First off appearances are not what is in the book, ya know do not judge a book by it's cover,I am not defending o Tommy here as my deals with him were less than favorable . see previous posts. A lot of people look at me like a hood and may have been at one time but, I am th most honest guy I know now. Tom as it seems and I said before does not impress me.
I bought the snakes and I have learned a lesson again. The thing I have learned in life is that people allways do me right in the long run when we meet face to face :hehe:

So a man that shaves his hair is a little freakish? David Beckam, British soccer icon, model, married to a beautiful pop-singer (and idolized by thousands of other women) made the news a few months ago because he shaves his armpits (so did Julia Roberts because the opposite). The roman “elite” used to shave their bodies to differentiate themselves from the slaves and the gladiators (although sweaty chest hair was sold as a perfume and aphrodisiac for women!).

Personally I have worn a beard for close to 30 years, not because of a “fashion statement” but because it saves time not having to think every morning about having to have a neat shave. Do I think less of men that like a clean shave? You bet I don’t, in reality I admire their willpower! As a kid (some 40+ years ago) I still remember people making fun of men that would use shampoo instead of soap to wash their hair. Shampoos were for women. Of course it was unconceivable that a man would have long hair, or a piggy tail, a short clean cut was the norm for men. Facial anti-wrinkle creams, aesthetic surgery, botox, dieing the hair, etc. not a chance! What would we think then about men wearing an earring or a diamond in his ear lobe? We didn’t even think about it as they were non-existent! In short am I disturbed because Tom allegedly shaves his legs? No, because I have lived long enough to verify that the weirdos of yesterday might be the fashion trends of tomorrow. Besides, what he does with his time and legs it’s his business as long as he doesn’t interfere with other people. This is not in defense of Tom Crutchfield’s other “problems”, it’s just my opinion on the “hair issue”.

Regards.

The HAIR issue should be a moot point...what I find hard to believe is that people here have had some not so great deals with Tom and yet there seems to be tooo much focus on his general hairiness or lack of.
Shave it or keep it ...who gives a cr@p
good deals or bad deals is the focus

As near as I can figure it was a call to order of the "attaboy circlejerk" club, whose el presidente is brucey.

Anyone else got a clue?

This thread wa started by bruce to try to male Tom out to be something he is not, an honest and trustworthy seller of reptiles. Bruce offers only his blind loyalty to back that up. No facts, no references, nothing. In fact, Bruce not only disputes the facts involved, but then promised a big reply from Tom a very long time ago, especially aimed at me, and of course nothing has been posted as neither Bruce nor anyone else can change the facts of Tom's activities in this industry. Now Tom is buying and reselling animals again, so what. John Apple is absolutely right and is a very typical response from somebody that has dealt with Tom to my knowledge. This thread is garbage and was never intended to be a legitimate thread but rather a way to try to drum up business for Tom now that he is legally allowed to sell herps again.

my opinion after meeting him in person

Well I talked to him for about 10 min and he was very friendly.
He did not seem to be a bad guy at all and answered all my questions.
I did not bring up the PAST I realy think if you did your time its time to move on.
We are not perfect all of us have something that we are not to proud of.
- Let the one that has never sinned cast the first stone-
Also his snakes looked ok from what I could tell.
he seemed husky and healthy a 180% different than some of the posters
have made him out to be.
my latest opinion ok.
I know 10 min is not long but you can tell a lot from first impressions.
:)

Ohh cmon Bud...not trying to be an a__ here but how long did Ted Bundy know his victims??, how long did Jeffery Dahmer Know his victims??, how long did ...well you get the idea...remember the book theory? the cover thing?

I said it was only a ten min meeting.

I did say that it was only a 10 min meeting.
But what I did not say was I felt his force was on the good side.
The dark side hides and is hard too detect but when they lie to hide or conceal the truth I can feel it.
The good side hides not and is felt if its there.
so I dought he lied to me about anything we talked about.
honest so far, to me.
Time will tell- I am sure you guys will let us know if he breaks any rules.
I realy dought he compares to dahmer or bundy but if thats how far this has gone thats not right is it?

Dark side? Force? Are you a teenager from the 1970's? Bud, if you want to be taken seriously speak seriously. If you want to be taken for a fool, keep acting like one.

relax I was just giving a opinion on tom C, jim here this will help you

Jim,
I gave my best opinion on tom C from my guick meeting
For your info I meant everything in that post you seem not to understand .
Dark side = evil ,bad intentions
Force= intention good or bad it flows from us, or some of us.
Good side of the force= non evil good feelings or intentions
jim this thread is about tom C not me ok stay on topic.
you guys are out of control web slave needs to act.
what does it matter if i am a 70's teenager those were the best years! :raspberry

Clue for you Bud. Jim's post was in direct response to your post about Tom. It was ON TOPIC. You however, ONLY post on this site to keep the damn drama going. I am getting real tired of your's and other's antics on this site. I am also getting tired of getting more reported posts in my in box from you and others than I do of spam. You are wearing on my last freaking nerve. I usually tend to have a lot of patience but it has run out. Your Jedi BS is immature and infantile and nothing more than a means to stir the pot.

If you do not like people's responses to you, THEN DO NOT POST! You will not continue to attempt to use the mod's to fight your pissing duels for you.

And on that note, this thread is done. Expect to start seeing this more often. And start to expect to see more out right bannings. To heck with the suspensions. This place will clean up and the high school drama will STOP from all parties involved. One way or the other.
