In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have been speaking with this person about purchasing some of her ball pythons and cannot find a shred of info on her, though she says she and her husband have been breeding ball pythons for 12 years and are trying to clear their collection to focus on other things. We have been communicating via Facebook, but the profile is very restricted so I have not seen a photo of this person or an email address, etc. The prices seem a little too good to be true, and she seems extremely motivated to sell which has raised a red flag for me, in addition to the other oddities. Has anyone ever heard of or purchased from this woman? I am looking to buy hets, so that obviously is risky in of itself. I can't justify making such a large purchase until she is verified.

That's probably it. It was an ivory blood python I believe but she also has pics of tegus. One on the dash of a car and one of three in the bath.

I'm waiting to hear back from a friend who is also this woman's friend.

However, if you are uncomfortable, don't send money.

The information I got is this: her husband wants the ball pythons gone to focus on the boas.

The best advice I can give is to ask her to put you in touch with some of her previous buyers, so that you can ask them.

That's true.... I feel odd asking, like its an insult or something, but if it were the other way around I wouldn't have a problem with someone asking me that.

I would steer clear.

I saw Tonya's ads of what she was selling. She was sent my contact information by a mutual acquaintance. I asked for a full list of her availability. She sent me back a list which I perused, but I told her I was not interested in any of her animals. I then I told her I was only looking for a specific project at that time (100% double het clown/orange ghost), with special emphasis on wanting a mojave double het female.

She only then tells me she has females... of the exact combination I mentioned looking for (mojave 100% het orange ghost 100% het clown, for reference point) and shows me pictures. Offers me them for $150 each.

If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. I passed because the deal made me uncomfortable.

I've heard other stories, but in respect to the rules, I won't share; I've forwarded this thread to others in hopes that they will come forward with their experiences.

I will attach a photo of the snake she told me was a mojave double het clown orange ghost and I will let you come to your own conclusions.

Good luck.

Hello everyone, a friend of mine contacted me telling me about this post. I have previous experiences with this Tonya Richardson and they were extremely weird, creepy and just for lack of a better word odd. I wouldn't recommend anyone deal with her. I first came in contact with her while looking for some ball pythons for a breeding project i was hoping to start. Of course, she replied to one of my posts in a facebook group and we started talking. She had everything i needed and was willing to do a package deal that sounded way to good to be true. We talked a lot about her snakes, she seemed to have every morph i could think of or mention. But the conversations quickly turned. She was flirting with me and flirting hard. I played along a little just because thats how i am. But next think i know she is asking me for nude pictures (which i refused to do), and wants to meet up to sell me the snakes. I told her i needed to talk it over with my fiance. She said it would be her husband meeting me, not her. Which also made me feel uncomfortable. To make a long story short, i had to block her because she was harassing me always asking for nudes and sending very inappropriate messages. Even offering to take some money off the price of the snakes if i would sent her nudes and agree to meet her husband. I am almost positive this is either a man pretending to be a woman. And had i agreed to meet "her husband" to buy these snakes, i have the feeling i would have been sexually assaulted. Please everyone i would not recommend sending this person money, or meeting up to buy from them EVER.

That got weird fast lol. I'm not having that type of conversation but since telling her no she is continuing to send me multiple messages and is very pushy. I made up my mind yesterday not to do business with this woman, and have spoken with another breeder who also got a bad feeling about her.

sorry if that was hard to follow, i was trying to type it out quickly on my phone as im not at home. But yes, it was deff weird. Very uncomfortable.

Very sketchy behavior...I wonder if "she" is really a he and is posing as a woman to lure victims. Did you speak by phone, or just text? Sounds like an individual to be avoided at all costs!

I think it's worth noting (though maybe a coincidence..)
A.) Nearly all of this person's Facebook friends are female and reptile owners (judging by profile pictures) or breeders.
B.) The locations of said Facebook friends are very variable, all over the US... None from this person's area? Who makes Facebook and doesn't add anyone they know in real life?

Strikes me as odd. I wouldn't trust it, for those reasons, and the stories posted by others.

This seems like it could potentially become very dangerous. I'm pretty sure this is a man using a fake identity to lure women. I hope everybody knows that you never go alone when you're meeting someone that contacted you online, via classifieds or otherwise. My gut feeling is that this should be reported to the police, or at least reported to Facebook.

I did notice they were all reptile owners. Mostly from trading/selling groups. I accepted the friend request curious if there were photos of this person, but there are none. I don't know what good reporting her will do unfortunately as I personally have no proof of ill intent, just a bad feeling and based on what she said and the appearance of her profile. If there is still proof of her asking for nudes and whatnot that could serve as grounds to report her, but I say leave it alone while she is still using the same name. Don't bring it to her attention or she/he may just change their Facebook account again.

I'm in the process of filing a report/crime tip with the local PD and FBI... I would urge others to do the same. I know nothing will likely come of it, but if this person is ever arrested these reports can help make a case against them.

Tonya Richardson is a well known fake (scammer) account. Used to go by the name Stacy Smith until "she" got caught relisting an animal she had just purchased, as an animal that had 2 more genes than it had when she purchased it originally. When she got caught for that she changed her name to Tonya Richardson.
