In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I imagine that a few of you super-sleuths are on this already, but if not, I encourage you mightily for reasons to follow. What I would encourage you to be on is to exchange communications with "Chris's Reptiles" from a third party (or untraceable account) not recognized as a Fauna member on a mission. Then, however you do it, compare IP addresses with past TSE ones. Maybe suggest paying by USPS money order and get a mailing address. Forgive me, but a new business out of Buffalo by the name of "Chris's Reptiles" may sound like a poor job of disguising oneself, but it's also one heck of a coincidence, and it is certainly possible that Chris is that stupid/vain/desperate. I would try to get the info but I am also stupid. If it is him, it can be reported to KS and PayPal, etc., and "Oh Yes" ! The authorities !! The reasons to shut him down are at least three-fold:

1) Spite.

2) Deny him income from assets that you will be owed a piece of;

3) Prevent him from ripping off more folks.

Some of you guys are just too good with this cyber-sleuthing. Stay that way, and bust this guy. Thank you.
Right on man!! your 100% right!! pfff  and I got issued warning points for saying the same thing :uzi:

Oh, I don't know Ian, I think you were just a tad more energetic ! As I re-read my post, it seems I used a pronoun or two a bit carelessly. For the record, when I was imploring diligence on staying on Chris J's arse, and said "to bust this guy", I was referring to Chris J. I have no problem, and actually encourage, those with a bone to pick with TSE to watch for his resurrection. I also have no problem with people bringing their concerns here if they think they have a possible match, as with Chris's Reptiles. I would hope, as others have suggested, that looking for the "new Chris" remain a topic of discussion and legitimate investigation, but not someone jumping the gun and contacting third parties, such as KS, PayPal, etc., without having the goods. The outing of "Ray's Reptilia" was some good sleuthing. Not that Chris will make it that easy.
Let me add a few thoughts of wild speculation, that others have hinted at and likely thought already. If Chris re-invested any of his ill-gotten money in reptiles, vs. shooting it up his nose, then it seems that he had a fancy for the higher-end geckos. That makes sense for an apartment-run business. Like they always say "follow the money". If in reptiles, Chris is in the gecko circles, and an entity or two there knows what is up.

no no Jim.... I think you missed the portion of his deception I was indicating as genius, the whole persona he depicted, and maintained for so long.... it was a well staged and orchestrated ploy WHILE IT LASTED.... that's where his genius ended and either greed, vanity, cockiness or just plain stupidity took over and he put his hand in the cookie jar one too many times.

You see, the genius was in creating the mythos of Chris Johnson, a man who would tear you a new orifice if he felt you deserved it, whether you truly did or not is irrelevant, the genius was in creating a persona that was so high on the good guy list, so caustic in his rebuttals and attacks, that even people he screwed over were afraid to come forward for fear of his acidic public verbal floggings OR the scorn of a community in which Chris had moved himself to damn near the top of the pile when it came to popularity.

In the end as you say, his genius evaporated as the factors I alluded to at the end of my first paragraph took effect and I am sure he isn't feeling too bright now....

Energetic I am! I've been watching, waiting, hoping his evil rein came to a screetching hault. I had a hunch then, that I would have soldiers leading the way and it didn't take much time at all. Lots of money none the less, no more. Before I knew it "bang" here they are. Every one with me on this one.
:raspberry We're not gonna take it "NO" we aint gunna take it. Were not gonna take it any more" :IThankYou .....hmmm sry

Question for the "listkeeper"

Derek, do we have a running total on the amount Chris owes to the folks on "the list" who are due refunds?

I'm working on something.............. :hehe:

This thread is beginning to have some members using some derogatory name calling within their posts. Fortunately for them I am just too tired and feeling lazy otherwise about 3 or so members would be getting warning points right now. I suggest you all take this as a warning to roll back the name calling. And I do reserve the right to go BACK and assess warning points if I decide to do so later on.................

Roughly $15,000.00 from the people that have responded to the questionaire so far.

Thanks, Derek. I'll let you know if what I'm working on pans out to anything.....

Wow.....just think.....$15,000 JUST from people that we know of.....can you imagine how many more people are out there that don't know about our list?? That's a frightening thought.

Hmmm... you know, $15,000 just doesn't seem like enough money to warrant the magnitude of Chris' betrayal of his friends, his business, or the community, not to mention the seriousness of what he could be facing legally. I would think that the sum of money involved to compel him to do this would be FAR greater, or he is far more desperate than imagined.

Well, I suppose there have been people sent to prison for 20 years for armed robbery that only got away from the 7-11 with a few hundred bucks.

Desperate people do desperate things...

Your right, Golden Gate,

and it certainly does not make sense to rip anyone off for that amount of money when you can make the same amount without ripping anyone off.

Which is why it was not for the amount but the need for funds. Any amount would do, when you see the exposure for such a risk, it boils down to drugs! I could be way of course here, but desparate people lie, steal and basically will do anything to feed their habits. Chris would be no different, then any other hooked addict.

It doesn’t make sense to rip anyone off, regardless of the amount of money involved. When anyone steals $15, $15,000 or $15,000,000 the only thing that’s being ripped off, is his dignity. It's a shame some people lost money, but here are the news: "money comes and goes"...what Chris did to himself though is here to stay. There's no place for him to hide and he can’t get away with it even if no one knew about it. He has betrayed the trust of the one person with whom he will have to live for the rest of his life. There’s no doubt Chris is already “paying” for his mistakes, and if he is laughing about it, he’d better take a good look at the mirror to see who the joke was on. He will more than likely have to pay additional dues in time.

In spite of all this, IMHO throwing innuendos about him being in drugs is going a little too far. What other alleged crime is next in line? He's got plenty coming his way with what he has done already. If he was involved in other illegal activities is not for us to speculate about.

Regards

Dan, its a little more than an innuendo

if the amount confirms that his total take of fraudulent sales, reflects somewhere in the neighborhood of $ 15, or even $ 20, 000. , and for that you have to make up a life threatning illness, imaginary workers, ludicrous reasons for not shipping, etc. then theirs more here that goes beyond him trying to beat people out of money for a vacation somewhere.

If you read my post I indicated that I could be "way off course here" but its an opinion, not a fact, but you are correct, I am illuding to an innuendo, and it is not as far fetched as you think. He may very well have a drug problem that may be his life threatning illness. Time will tell. We will see how this pursues criminally where I am sure allot more information will be brought forward if he gets arrested and possibly indicted.

Many things well-put Dan. However, a few of us see no ethical problem at all in speculating about Mr. Johnson. In our view, when someone rips you off, betrays your trust, and plays "holier than thou" on top of it all, not to mention all that Jerry said, they are wide open to a boatload of speculation. This motivation is reinforced since many here have committed money in an attempt to recover funds and/or prosecute Chris. An evaluation, with input as to the value of pursuing Chris and possibly throwing good money after bad, is quite in order, IMHO.

I do not know if the $15K number includes any possible losses for fake-hets. If Chris did take people on false genetics, then the dollar value of his scam will rise. We all expect that there are many out there who were swindled as well, and never heard of the BOI.

I would be willing to bet that 15K is only a small fraction of the total amount. I am sure there many others out there that have not contacted me. There are also quite a few that sent me an e-mail and are on my list but haven't sent me any details of their transaction with Chris.

Derek in the end when all is said and done, someone is going to ask,"what happened to all the money?" and "Where will this money trail lead us to?"

I bet its nothing that one will be able to get their hands on from a lawsuit !

Jim,

Without having any proof of what we are saying we can’t start throwing possible scenarios of what Chris might have done with that money. The problem is that what some of you are suggesting is flirting with libelous statements. There has been an officer of the law already involved in this thread. Why don’t we let everything follow its course without adding unsubstantiated drama?

Regards.

We can't? Since when? Is speculation one of the seven cardinal sins? So a law officer is involved, and folks here who want to comment about Chris, his possible motives, etc, need to cease the "unsubstantiated drama"? Well folks, I guess its time to zip it ! The thought police are out !!

No one needs join in any speculation if they care not to. Others can join in with a disagreement about what was said. But now we're deciding to censure one another with "you shouldn't say this or that". It is anything but "flirting with libelous statements". I don't care for much of what is discussed here, or in other threads. But if other members want to speculate about Chris's activities surrounding his theft of thousands of dollars from the community, they can knock themselves out. Frankly, I have quite a few PM's, and there are posts from several credible members here, who think that Chris's turn-for-the-worse is very characteristic of someone with a drug problem. Doesn't mean he has one, is not libelous to speculate about, and I don't think the officer of the law gives a rat's rear end about such speculation.

WOW!!

I have been reading this thread and it's just amazing what people will do to his fellow man! Does anybody have hard facts about Mr. Johnson?? I see that a fellow Law Enforcement, is investigating this matter. With the number of people that have been ripped off, have you guys thought about a LAW SUIT?? We have convicts in Federal Prison who have committed lesser crimes. I hope I am not reading this wrong but I believe Federal Laws have been broken and if convicted he will be nicely accommodated. I hope that in the end he will get his just reward. I have a saying "What goes around comes around" I wish no harm on anybody but if found guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt then put him in PRISON!!!!
