And YES, he can still make things right. I do believe that he can still "refund" through paypal, even though its closed while under investigation.

And if not, there are certainly other ways to refund people. Moneyorders for one.

The phone being cut off is certainly not this threads fault, and I'm sure he has SOME kind of telephone still, or if those other 2 guys and the facility exist, they have to have a phone as well.

There are STILL no excused for him not to make things right.

What I would like to know. DOES the facility exist? DO those 2 guys exist? ARE they sending out hundreds of boxes (lol) every week? IS anyone getting ANYTHING?

As for people recovering their money. One thing with the new laws bankruptcy is more difficult to file now and depending on what chapter they file. They are still responsible for their debts it may just take longer for them to pay it off. IE your unlikely to get one lump sum. We are getting paid off that way from someone who filed before the law changed last fall, payments are eradicate but we get them.

If there is a criminal case and Chris losses they tend to order restitution. Again it takes a while to get your money back.

The thing is you may not get all your money back but should be able to recover at least some of it. But you wont get anything if you don't act on this problem. Randy

I went to the Erie County - Registry of Deeds to see what I could find out. There are a ton of Christopher Johnson entries but there is no way to connect them as they don't give you much info. The only thing I could verify is his address. Looks like it may be a condo instead of an apartment.

BTW - The "D" in his name is not his middle initial it is some kind of code letter.

This is not necessary a bad thing. NERD ran out of a condo until last year or so. The difference is you could visit NERD.

I would like to comment on the pictures Nick posted.

Those pics have little meaning to the ones of us who have requested specific pictures. Those pics have no ID, nor does the picture URL. So at some time they had an albino. What does that mean? Why didn't they say go to PIC BLAH BLAH BLAH. to see the adult of the baby we just shipped you. Also they are selling hets of animals that don't have pics of on the site. And look at the guarantees, it has a description of Albino het female #9. Most breeders use ID #s so they can keep track of parents and offspring. I know that is proof of nothing, but just adds to the issue here.

I requested pictures of the animal I purchased along with pictures of the parents. This is standard for the sale of Het animals, IT WAS ALSO promised before and after my purchase.

I have never received a picture, just excuse after excuse of why that can't get a picture. "We don't have a camera". Do we really believe that they are shipping hundreds of packages and can't afford to have a 50$ digicam at the shop(house)? Come on. They may have had a need to ship animals and take the photos for their guarrantee. What would they have done. Draw a sketch, because according to them they had no camera and would not have one until Chris was likely better. Which in turn I now interpert as they had no intentions of shipping anything even if temps were 60F all of February. How would they of taken the picture?

So Nic, If you really want to help out this Chris and TSE. Ask to visit TSE and take some pictures of the collection and post them here. Be sure to include the Homozygous clown.

One question, if chris does want to try to make things right, how would he do so now?

1) pay pal closed down (probably other major credit cards as well)
2) phones are off
3) no email responses
4) either the police or other law enforcement agency will probably seize everything (if it is found)

I guess it is passed the point where he could right things and the hope here is that everyone will be co-applicants (liens) in a bankruptcy or something similar in nature if there is something of value found for the courts to disperse to the plantiffs.

Personally i think that if he could sell a couple of his mojave's, albinos, pieds or pastels and payoff everyone that wants a refund this whole situation could go away and he could try to start all over when he gets better. But that is just the typical me always hoping for the best possible outcome for someone. It is in my nature to hope everyone can right thier wrongs and "come to god" so to speak.

You know, early on in this thread if he had appointed good people to sell off some of his stuff and pay those people he owed, and if he had come here with an attitude that his illness would not get in the way of his ethics, I think the good folks on Fauna would have understood even if it took time.

But I was turned of by the whole 'bottom of the heap' incident, and the way that there is no one showing up with positive news, or tales of receiving all those boxes supposedly being shipped out.

I think that the point of no return has been reached, even if all is paid, his responses and delays will ensure that people will not easily trust him again with their money.

Why dont you just jump on a plane and go up an visit him yourself. I know i dont have the time to do it. While your thier get a check for robert, a check for Cat and take a lot of photos for everyone.

Those pics are awful small, but they look like pretty small snakes for breeders.

Even if he has 1 mojave, 1 albino, 1 pied, and 1 pastel they should be worth at least $10,000+ depending on the sex....even if they are babies.

I am not sure how much he owes, as I have not followed this entire thread, but if it is more than $10K, someone should be contacting a lawyer, imho.

It took me several days, but I've finally read the whole thread. For those of you with money outstanding and with normal "hets" that you have to wait on to know if you've been scammed or not, I truly feel for you and know I'd be absolutely sick to be in the same situation.

I made the decision to cast a vote on the GGC thread based solely on Chris's responses in this thread. They are not the responses of someone I would ever consider doing business with, regardless of the rest of this mess. Illness is not an excuse for just walking away with a shrug and the downright spitefullness of only bothering with his business enough to order his yet-unknown-to-be-anything-but-imaginary minions to drop paid orders to the bottom of the list "cuz he's mad". I've seen years of arrogance from Chris, but this is deplorable, all of it. Like others have said, they don't seem to be too busy to take money in...

And on the FedEx excuse. I call B.S., as well. I don't believe a word of it.

And like others, I'd love to see just one post showing:

1) Hets from TSE that have proven out

2) Actual morphed animals from TSE

3) Some proof that dozens of backages are going out weekly. You can't have a forum of this size and have no one reporting back on receipt of animals, can you?

Actually I've been quietly watching for the last year or so to see if any of these "hets" prove out. I remember a stink from a while back questioning the same thing and just got a bad feeling back then. I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop ever since. Should be this breeding season.
