In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Top Shelf Exotics (Inquiry)

If you want to accomplish

anything, check online for a listing of attorny's in that area. Once you have hired an attorney. Notify the BOI or any other herp viewing website, and have them contact the attorney as well. Whether this can be a class action suit brought on with many creditors should not increase the fee. The only thing that would change would be the dollar amount in the litigation. The attorney would also be the best judge to determine if it should go to the DAs office as well. The attorney can also subpoena information from paypal , bank records, and certainly find local real estate information that may relate to Chris's home, auto, etc.

Even if some of you may have hired an attorney and are outside of the NYState area, in order to be more effective, these suits are usually referred to a local attorney who has more manuverability than some attorney in Calif.

Finally, if you want to send money, wait until an attorney has been hired and see how HE wants to handle it. He may tell you to hold off until he gets a better picture as to how he intends to pursue this. The last thing you need is accountability for money that you have given in the form of a fund.

Yes, I've noticed that since the poll was put in place the "view first unread" button sends me to the last post instead, so I have to scroll up and figure out where the last point was that I was at.

I think a fund raising auction through Fauna would be a great way to get this done.

Sorry but I still have scars from the time several years ago when I did something like that (i.e the Neil Gubitz store break in). Not to mention the last auction fiasco as well about this time last year, which coincidentally involved Chris. I have fully learned my lesson about doing that sort of thing.

If someone wants a special section set up for that use, I will be glad to do it for you, but YOU will have to manage it and be responsible for all aspects of it.

I have sent out the first e-mail to everyone that has contacted me about not receiving the animals they paid for. So far five people have contacted me about being on the list.

Let me be the first to thank everyone that has volunteered to donate. I plan to pursue this until justice is served.

I agree that there needs to be accountability for the money that is donated. I for one do not have a clue as to how to go about doing this? Any suggestions? Any CPA's out there? My girlfriend does work for a bank, but I don't know how to go about setting up the whole "accountability" aspect.

Can anyone out there recommend a good attorney in the area? If not I will be making some calls tomorrow.

If anyone was not included in the e-mail I sent out earlier and would like to be, please contact me at [email protected] with your e-mail address.

I would like to encourage anyone that paid with paypal to file a dispute. If there are enough complaints they will investigate the case. Also, open a case with your local authorities, and www.ic3.com.

Thanks again everyone. Hopefully Chris will get what he deserves.
The overwhelming generosity that has been displayed here in the last few days has given me hope that there are still good people out there. +1 for humanity.

Auction fiasco? Wow, that comment cuts pretty deep. Oh well. I wish I had the time to coordinate an auction, I would do it in a heartbeat, but with a huge gecko collection and a four year old at home I just can't commit to it. Surely someone will step up though, that has a bit more time.

Rich, any idea on how to make the "view first unread" button work again without voting in the poll? Thanks!

Not without removing the poll entirely......

Well I've read through 200 and something pages worth of this and still haven't see anyone say that they had proved out TSE hets. Is there anyway to put that on the poll?

Bred TSE hets and they proved
Bred TSE hets and they didn't prove

I have a couple of late 04 hets and some 05 normals - supposedly spider sibs but I never saw them sell spiders - maybe I missed it. Like many people I requested info on the parents befrore I purchased but got the run around/no response email. I got the picture ID and signed guarantee paperwork and I was under the impression that Chris and TSE had been part of the industry for some time and was top notch and reliable (especially after the attack I got here for simply pointing out Chris never answered his emails). That being said and done - Chris and I had worked out our differences and I made other purchases from him that I was happy with.

I am, like I assume others are, now coming to the realization that there is a possiblity that I've gotten normal snakes. I would hate to think that this was all just some elaborate hoax this guy played on the industry and now that those hets he was selling are breeding he is bailing out?!?!?!?!

Anyway - I would love to hear if anyone has proven any animals from TSE - I cant imagine that there is no one that hasn't bred any of them yet.

And for anyone that emailed me for a TSE recommendation - I apologize - I was not aware that the company had fallen so far so fast.

Thanks,

Tosha McClintock

PS I will also contribute to a legal fund if one is set up, please let me know.

I want to thank Derek for digging up Chris's address for me. For those interested in pursuing it, and don't yet know, the "town" of Cheektowaga is suburban Buffalo. Plenty of attorneys in Buffalo that can handle this.

No problem Jim. I'm on a mission!

I'm not sure of the coordination that's necessary other than the keeping of funds, but I can create a new category on Critter Auction and host auctions for the cause there.
I'm not willing to accept and hold the resulting funds, however!

I hesitate to post this for the risk of being accused of self-promotion, but if a venue is needed, I have it. Just say the word, and I'll create the new category.

Oh, and I'm of course in on the legal pot, also.

Day 22 incubating 7 eggs from TSE "het Pied x het Pied"

I just talked to THE biggest reptile guy in the greater Buffalo area, if not all of upper NY state, who not only owns a couple of very successful storefront retail businesses, but also does shows throughout the Northeast, and fortunatley is a good customer of mine! He's going to get me the names of a couple of attorneys in the area that he has worked with and recommends tomorrow. He was driving in his car when we spoke, and not at home. He never heard of Chris Johnson and TSE. Never saw him at a show, and this entity has been active in shows for 15 years. I will forward the names to you Derek when I get them. Not that you've been nominated, but I figure you will be in touch with anyone who wants to run with it.

As for your "fund", I think you have to go light on the formalities for now. If someone volunteers to be the person, I would just try to set and adhere to a contribution of $100 a head for anyone who wants to be a claimant (if it comes to that), and non-claimants whatever they would care to donate, or allow them to donate on behalf of a potential claimant who is short on funds. See how far it carries you, and if and when you need more, you go back to the group and decide collectively. You just need some trust and good communications. Simple accounting.

Has anyone ever personally met Chris or seen him vending at any shows?

I was very suspicious of TSE when I seen how overnight one day he’s selling Leopard Geckos etc and the next day he’s selling Ball Python Morphs. When he purchased the 2.0 normal Ball Pythons from me for $220.00 that was almost a confirmation as I'm concerned that he was up to no good.
With Chris being such an intelligent crook; Chris may very well be a Christine with a boyfriend posing as Chris. That would really throw people off now wouldn’t it?

Anyone can print the forms off the state of concerns website for a small claims affidavit. You can then for a fee of $15-45 depending on where the action is being done, file that lawsuit against the person that has taken money and not delivered product. Get your info together including emails to prove your case and you can go to small claims court if you like and you do not need any attorney. Also, as it is federal fraud on the internet as in US mail to steal money from people, you could enlist the help of the FBI internet fraud task force. I dealt with a bunch of online fraud on both ends of deals when I was a powerseller on ebay for many years.
