I don't expect you to read the entire thread. That Chris is on the threshold of actually being charged with a felony is because of the thousands of posts in this thread, the efforts coordinated by ideas hatched here, and the continued existence of this thread near the top of the BOI, as more folks heard of the group effort, came here, contacted people, and got their complaints lodged with the authorities. At times this thread was held up by only hot air. It took months of hot air and BS to even come close to bringing in enough people to file on-line affidavits and complaints to get the NY State Police to pursue the felony fraud charge, as they said they needed a minimum of ten such complaints. So if 500 more cracks about Chris's appearance brings in one more complaint ... Hell, make it 1000 and get two.

Yes, I am more than free to have an opinion and I didn't look for support or agreement; I stated it and that's pretty much it. You are entirely correct that not everyone will agree; these things are part of the concept of freedom of speech.

My feelings weren't hurt, I didn't say he was a good guy, nor did I infer it; and I damn sure didn't suggest anyone change their opinion.

And no offense, Bobby; but if you have to start off every differing opinion with "Sorry" or apologize for the way you feel or think, maybe you're not really comfortable feeling or thinking that way? No reason to apologize; either feel it and mean it, or don't feel it and mean it.

If I remember correctly, I was the one that called Chris a lying scum bag about his death bed. I caught a little slack for that one as well, until everyone found out he was a lying about the whole thing. What was it again? OH, he was at work!!

Well put, but Wes is not much for use of the PM section, and he is not worth my time their either. Wes is referring to another recent thread where he and I disagreed, and apparently still has much angst from it. No doubt it, and he, will continue to pop up.

If you followed this thread, then you already know of what follows. Chris Johnson is close to the very real possibility of being charged with criminal fraud. No small achievement for the reptile community, for I know of no other such instance, should it occur. Chris's participation in the thread dropped off after the first few hundred posts, but while he was here, there was no problem keeping the thread active. All progress made is the direct result of this thread and the posts that followed Chris's departure. That includes many days, if not weeks, of people postng here, often repeating themselves over and over, just to keep the topic alive once Chris exited, as more who had been wronged came forward. Several thousand dollars were raised as well, and countless people reached out to. At times the talk was antagonistic and malicious, and at other times petty and benign. With many small pissing contests throughout.

Wes is like the jester ....... a jack-in-the-box that pops up and momentarily catches everyone's attention, only to then be just as quickly ignored, as people return their attention to things that matter. He hasn't quite come to grips with that part of the reaction yet.

He's here reading....and he's "fought back" and fought back dirty plenty of times. Don't even give me the "kicking the poor defenseless" line. Perhaps some of us DO need to blow off steam after having our money taken, and getting royally ed over, maybe some of us are angry because friends got scammed, maybe some of us are upset because it has hurt the reptile community in general. Some are just hurt by his betrayal. Maybe THAT is the point.

If you people are so pissed, do something about it not sitting here hiding behind the computer, when he's not likely to be affected by the insults.

Sometimes the best response is no response Jim. You know Wes isn't going to let that post go without a comment, and then you'll respond again, and on and on and on. The readers of this thread, and the others, are not dummies, they know who the antagonist is here. So posting after one of Wes's comments isn't necessary on your part.

The validity of Chris's claim to having a heart condition was discussed at length earlier in the thread, for the many here who have not read all of the thread. Also discussed, to the consternation of some, was speculation as to what might explain Chris's complete disregard for others, even beyond the thievery, as well as his seeming ability to waste all that he stole, and other quirks. From one of the thousands of reports available on-line:

.......If given the chance, laboratory animals will dose themselves with cocaine until they die of heart failure.
