In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You are one to :censored: talk, how about shutting up and reading ALL of what I post, not just picking out one thing I say, and ignoring the rest.

I do apologize, I missed the post where you said that you have read more. It just really upsets me when people appear to be defending ANYTHING about this scum. I hope you can understand why this whole situation upsets me. I did not intentionally ignore it, I missed that one short snippet.

On another VERY important note......per a discussion I had with Detective Brown this morning, only 12 depositions have been sent in. Unbelieveable. If you have not sent one in yet, there is little time to still do so, as the case has been turned over to the NYS Attorney General. PLEASE, let's not let this be a case of him getting away with ANYTHING, let's nail him with everything we've got!!!!!!

Catching up on these threads I can't help but think...

Sorry for being a little off topic..
But reading through all these pages of insults and people butting heads over ideals and opinions, I can't help but think...is the BOI worth it anymore.
Years ago before the BOI I could count all the people I didn't like in this industry on one hand. Now it is quite the opposite!! I have used this board several times to express anger over deals and used it to get back what is mine and to give those who deserved a boost. It has been invaluable in that regard and in flushing out countless "bad guys".
But I can't help to think is it worth it...so many now hate each other just because of differences of opinion, so many who would probably be friends under any other circumstance. So many people attack and belittle others because they think someone's ideals are stupid or wrong etc.. I myself am guilty of all I state as well...and have been the recipient of all this as well...
Seems every thread someone gets insulted and new "enemies" are made.
Seems for every bad guy or bad deal that comes on here there are more and more people who try to hurt others because of what they say or feel..
In writing this or any other statement here I can't help to think "who's going to bash me for the way I feel".

I may have missed a couple of posts in the last month, but not too long ago it was only 8, and Detective Brown had been adamant about ten being the threshold. More is better, but my kudos to #'s 9-12, and the efforts of those who helped get them. :IThankYou

Justin........I understand what you're saying here...and for the most part, agree...but for every "little off topic" thing posted, it just adds more to what you are saying about the BOI, and nothing to helping the actual topic at hand. There are already plenty of threads about how people feel about the BOI, perhaps your opinion would be more useful there?

And NO, I don't mean to bash you. I'm just trying to keep this thread (and others I have reminded folks politely, and sometimes not quite so politely) to PLEASE keep it "on topic".

GET THOSE DEPOSITIONS IN NOW FOLKS!!!!!

You have a very good point Jim, I agree. Taking into consideration, however, that Detective Brown has 32 KNOWN victims on file, plus many who probably got the forms from myself or Derek and didn't contact Det. Brown at all, it's an awful small figure. :ack2:

Justin I agree with some of what have said but the past few months the BOI has outed
Chris Johnson
Brendan Magee
Scotts Serpents aka Terry Scott aka Sanchez
Jeane Best/Wendy Childs
Perfect Pythons(I think that's it)
and there's probably some I can't remember.

So I think it is worth it.

I don't believe it is a great many of the readers, or posters, that get caught up in the bickering that often happens. I do think it is a major distraction though.

Didn't Detective Brown say you had to have lost money in order to submit a disposition? Some of the victims rec'd snakes just probably not what they ordered, and others got their money back from their cc company. Are you including them in the 32??

12 complainants are not going to work

If that is the amount that is given to the DA's office, it will be set aside unless the interstate theft is of such a nature and the amount so exhorbitant, that some action is required.

That the trouble with this industry. Apathetic, lethargic, and not caring even if its their own money thats lost! The consequence is that this lesson will only open a flood gate for more Chris's because nothing will be accomplished criminally and even under the best of circumstances where you have a willing detective from the state where the perpetrator resides, investigating, and compiling information , will be stymied by complainants who for whatever reason seem to feel its more important to omit themselves rather than help in making a lesson out of a thief such as Chris. You can imagine if only 12 depostions are given, at this stage, what would happen once it went to trial.

Whats killing this industry is the ability to learn how to become wealthy by following Chris's footsteps with impunity, and getting away with it only to do it over again.............

I am only including those that Det. Brown himself listed as the number of victims who were eligible to turn in a deposition, which was 32. I still honestly believe the actual number is much, much higher.

Jerry.......it is not even going to the "DA", it has already been given to the NEW YORK STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL. As I mentioned before, the IFC is also actively involved.....meaning FEDERAL involvement as well.

Yes, there should be more turned in.....but your basically telling people you think it is just going to be "set aside" anyway doesn't help much either.

Good Points-

Also Justin, within the last few months alone the BOI has assisted in recovering funds, animals and prevented others from falling prey to scammers.

I would say it is also somewhat a misperception to believe that attacks didn’t happen early on.

I think you would find it’s about the same percentage but there are more breeders, hobbyists and of course scammers online now.

But if it’s any consultation, your post stifled my bashing post I was going to level on Dan. J/K

Cat,
I did not realize that Detective Brown had identified 32 in total so far. I think it would be wrong to post those remaining 20 here in forum so as to bring pressure to bear, and would rally against such. I also will assume that some of you have made efforts to push those people, and that's about all you can do.

Jerry,
I have often shared your cynicism about apathy and legal thresholds which often are barriers to attaining justice. Some people were very naive about such early in this thread, and it is often a harsh reality to those unfamiliar with it. I would say though, that looking back at the initial cynicism, the efforts made to date have eclipsed what many here were told to expect by the cynics.

Kevin,
I know that you mean well, but with regard to your "list of outed bad guys", I would recommend that any unfamiliar with those entities not take your word on it, but read the threads alleging misconduct. While a minority, a few of them contain dissenting opinions from yours.

Cat, calm down,

The NYS attorney general does not get involved. It goes to the DA for that county . These cases are given to assistant DA's. . Secondly, when a complaint is set aside, that basically means that more evidence may be needed before it gets to a possible indictment by a grand jury. Finally, regardless if federal authorities are monitoring the information, if a state grand jury indicts, it will cover all aspects including any federal violations.

But thats not my concern as the inability to bring this to fruition. I would have thought that by now that Detective Brown would have been innudated with evidence, from many people and not just 12 depositons. The DA's office handles many fraud cases that involves 100s of people being ripped off. Not only state wide, but country wide with the internet being the likely vechicle for theft. All I am saying is that if this does not get put on a calandar for lack of complainants, the justice system moves on! This of course will have a dire effect on any civil matters that may be pending.

I have to wonder why these other folks haven't stepped up?? It doesn't cost you anything and it may help you and many people you'll never know in the future. Where sitting there doing nothing is helping Chris and those like him. How will you feel if nothing is done and say a year from now there is a thread started on the BOI about someone getting taken by Chris. What will you think when you look in the mirror and think that if I'd done what I should have I may have prevented this from happing again.

Someone here has a signature that say something to the effect --that all it takes for evil men to prevail is for good men(people) to do nothing.

Now is your chance to make a difference . Randy

30 Days left of incubating 4 eggs hetpied x hetpied from Chris Johnson.
Man i cant wait to see 4 pieds hatching. :uzi:

Are there no others with 04 hets in the incubator ?

I don't know that I'll ever see the money that I put into the TSE so called "hets", but I am not going to sit back and take it without trying. I sent Chris money, I did receive 1.1 ball pythons, but are they actually 100% het High Contrast Albinos that is stated on the paperwork? I know I don't think so. I personally feel like I got ripped a big one! Did I take the time to fill out the deposition? Yes I did. Did I send in proof of my payment to Chris/TSE? Yes I did. Did I take it a step farther and add extras to the package I sent to Inv. Brown? You betcha! Copies of emails, copies of the het paperwork, even a copy of the shipping label that was on the box. If I felt there was anything that would help Inv. Brown I sent it. It cost me a few extra pennies for postage but I thought it was well worth it. Like I said before...I may never get back what I feel I deserve, but I sure would love to see Chris get what he deserves.

Come on folks! You are already sitting at the computer reading this, fill out the deposition and send it in. I swear, it doesn't hurt.

Well done Tammy !

And if not to rid the community of the likes of Chris, how about some consideration for Bubba. He's been a very patient man.

In all seriousness, if there are readers out there who could make a claim and fill out a deposition, please do. You may not have read the entire thread, but a lot of people put a whole lot of effort into getting it this far. Money raised, emails and phone calls, numerous dry-wells with attorneys, all to finally get some law enforcement up there interested. They always have bigger fish to fry, as Jerry pointed out. If you are unsure how to do it, PM Terry or someone else who can get you all the info. Happy hunting.

Tammy, good for you.

This is exactly what has to happen. Just as long as these depositions keep coming in to Det. Brown, it provides the intent to commit the crime. Thats exactly what the DA is looking for. Its one thing if one person complains, but when 20 have the same complaint, then its a little bit more than coincidence, and thats exactly what the grand jury needs to see.

The eventual outcome of a sealed indictment should not be difficult if 10 is the magic #. Although I am uncertain how many times a month a grand jury may convene, whom ever is communicating with Det. Brown should be able to provide some additional information as to whether anything has been done in knowing if Chris can be arrested and charged while the case moves forward.

I am certain, that they (Det Brown) knows exactly where Chris is, so he can be picked up and processed for an arraingment. I am also sure Chris may have an attorney waiting in the wings when that time comes. It will be interesting to see how this progesses.
