    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yes I did, when i did the search the boi had nothing on her.........I guess all I can do now is wait and see what happens. I emailed her this afternoon and have not heard back yet so I guess we will see.
 
When did you send payment? She was offering the mojave yesterday afternoon for sale. Did she say where she was from in the emails? I hope you get that girl too.

I purchased her Friday shortly after the ad broke. It is sounding more and more like I got screwed!:shootfoot this should be me shooting myself in the head! I will keep you posted if anything changes. I have not been on faunas BOI until today so today wsa the first I saw on any of this.............

I dont really know the policies with disputing payments, but have seen it work for some people.
 
I was told the Mojave was still available just minutes before this thread started. I asked if I could call her and never got a reply, then noticed this thread.

See if you can stop the payment asap!
 
things just continue to get worse

Payment has gone through of course........:censored: I have opened a dispute with paypal and will escalate it soon to a claim. I need to give it a little time so they will she has had time to respond...........She has failed to respond to muliple emails today...so I am sure this is gonna come down to IF paypal will work with me........I am so SCREWED!! Please take the ad off of the site if it is still up. If she is still saying it is for sale then she might screw someone else out of their hardearned cash!!! Man what a way to start the week!!!:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:
 
Lets not jump to conclusions yet, yes if she fails to send you can dispute with paypal. Did you use a credit card with paypal or just cash in paypal? If you used a cc then you can file a dispute with them if things do not go well with paypal. Did she give you any information about her?

I have emailed her multiple times since yesterday morning and have not heard back. I also opened a dispute with paypal and I know that she received a copy of that yesterday as well. I will escalate the paypal to a claim on Firday, that is the first day I can take further action. I did pay with a credit card so I will also pursue that avenue as well. I would also love to pursue this legally if anyone knows how to go about that end of things. I am SO TICKED. I have purchased numerous animals off of both fauna and kingsnake and never had any trouble, but this is definitely going to make me rethink how I deal with others. Where to go from here I am not sure other than wait until Friday to open a claim with paypal, and I guess hold out hope that I will still get the animal....wishful thinking I know!! Any other advice on what I can or need to be doing at this point?:shrug01: Thanx for all of your help and kind words.

Dale - what other information did you get (address, phone number?) What was the PayPal address you sent the money to? What was the name on the account (check your payment notification)
 
When filing with paypal---stress the fact that you have never received any product.

The scumbag seller will have to enter a valid shipping number in order to keep the money.

Is there a way to block new members from creating classified ads within 30 or 60 days of becoming a member so as to help maybe alleviate some of this??? I've noticed that these scammers create their account and within a few days or a week have taken someones money.

'Tracy' joined on Jan 20th and made her first post on Jan 22nd. Which was her classified ad.

Or maybe have them blocked for 30-60 unless they want to pay to post their add????
 
She contributed so she could lock the thread and bump the ad for the weekend. I would think that since she registered and contributed, Fauna could look into getting some info when it is proven to be a scam. I also think there should be some safegaurds in place to help prevent this stuff from happening.
 
Okay, here's proof that this is a scam. I also bought the same snake. I questioned her about her lack of references so we agreed that half now and half upon receipt of the snake would be acceptable terms. I guess if there is a bright side, I will only get screwed out of half the money. The snake was supposed to ship today for delivery tomorrow, but amazingly I have not received a response either. I will also be filing a dispute via paypal. I do have the email correspondence for those interested.
