• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How will paypal pull the rest of the funds from the scammer to the victim is what I am asking. Sorry for the confusion

they reverse the funds transfer to their bank account, and if they somehow got it out already ( which takes at least 3 days ), or paypal'ed it to another account, it will make their account go into a negative balance.

It can take up to 2 weeks for a claim to even escalate to a refund! Also I dont believe a scammer would actually have a check mailed to them, would be easier to get caught. Hope I am not getting to far off subject. Has the other 2 people heard back from paypal yet?

Someone with a paypal account can also withdraw the cash immediately from an atm, if they have a paypal debit card. There's no waiting, like with an electronic transfer, or check...as soon as the money shows in the paypal account, it can be taken out.

There are daily limits on the card, but with a cash withdrawl, and using the card itself to purchase items, it's certainly possible to remove a rather large sum from ones paypal balance within a very short time period. (Basically as long as it would take to drive to an atm, and/or use the card for large purchases locally.)

And to add one more thought, I use a credit card to pay for animals through paypal, if it is someone I don't know or trust. With a credit card, it's still possible to get the money back, even if the scammer takes the money and runs. With paypal only, you are pretty much SOL...

This is getting quite a bit away from the topic - This side discussion may have value, but please take it to an appropriate forum.

she is at it again!!

She just posted the same pics and everything for sale again!! Can you believe it. How stupid can you get??? It was blocked almost instantly!!

She locked her ad when she posted it....and deleted it within minutes of me posting a buyer beware notice, and a link to this thread.

Tracy, just to let you know every single ad you place is still available to be viewed. You can edit, delete, and repost all you want. Just remember, All the ads you have posted will include the date of when you posted the same snake over and over again after each time it sold to a new victim. I hope some of those that have been hit by you takes the extra steps to help incarcerate your butt.

It's a scam. I traced the IP address to North Carolina.

IP Address Country (Short) Country (Full) Flag Region City ISP Map

Just a FYI,

While she has used that IP here as well, her registration IP was

IP Address 64.191.64.181
Host server.v1pn.com

I am new to forums. Hope this isn't a stupid question, but what is an IP address? When I tried to register on cornsnake.com I kept getting an email from Rich saying my IP address said I lived somewhere else. I believe it was florida or some other place that I hadn't even been.

So are IP addresses inaccurate? Not saying that this person isn't a scammer because it is obvious that the person is, but how do you get an accurate address for a person? Thanks, Sarah Culpeppper

Sarah,
We try to discourage offtopic discussions on the BOI, so (while the subject of IP addresses is pertinent to this thread) it would be best if you posed your question in one of the other forums on this site.
