    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Trade went very bad...need advise

OK first of all spell my name right and who is Aaron, i've never heard of this guy.It does not matter what his story is these geckos are awful. I will attach a pic of all seven and the two top ones are the dead ones and the restare alive with tails and hips with nothing but bones..He might have done everything right in the past but it is VERY wrong to let geckos get in this shape and then to send them to someones is also bad.As for me stopping the shipment you have to be out of your mind if you think i should have gone through with it after these geckos are in this bad of shape, if you tell me you would trade good health snakes for these geckos your either dumb or your lying...
There is no excuse in this world for shipping geckos in this kind of condition..i don't care who you are, are how good you've been in the past

Rob.... I think you MIGHT be misdirecting your loyalties on this particular deal, buddy.... However Aaron's name came up is beyond me, but, in any case.... those geckos are pitiful! I, too, would have stopped that shipment to him as fast as I could! Thee should be no reason you should let animals get in that kind of condition?? If those geckos just got through laying eggs, I'm the Birdman of Alcatraz!
In THIS instance, David has every right to be as mad as he is! No matter WHO the seller is, there's no excuse for that....
And then, have the nerve to actually sell them in that shape! Bad move!

pics dont lie (well most of the time )

Going by the pics, looks like the animals must have been starved for a very long time. It takes alot more than a week or even a month for some of those animals to look that way. Anyone who would let that happen to any animals in their care should have the same done to them.

First David I am sorry for misspelling your name. I agree these animals look awful. My point was everyone jumped all over MPI_exotics and had not heard the full story. I agree these animals look bad and should not have been sent out like that, but I would expect everyone to hear the entire story before lynching someone. I am not falsely showing my loyalties, If the animals were truly sent out like described without prior knowledge then the animals need to be returned and the deal canceled. Whether or not these animals were sent in this condition is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the way some of you jumped on without pictures, or anything other than the words of Mr. Pollard. In this case it might have been true, but either way I think that everyone has the right to be heard even if they are wrong.
 
rob...the animals were sent out just like you see them in the pic, without my knowledge, no one in their right mine would trade for geckos in that shape..as far people taking my word for it , it sounds as if your saying i can't be trusted...pictures are worth a thousand words...but what you are saying is if you post something on here we should not believe YOU till we talk to the other people...i understand you know this guy but that doesn't make it right what he done

I am not saying you can not be trusted, I am saying that you had not posted pictures and everyone was jumping on him right away. There are people that have posted on the BOI stories that have made up about people without proof. IN the begining there was no proof on here and that was my point. Everyone should wait to receive proof first. I agree the animals in the pics should not have been sent out in that shape and I personally would not send out animals in that shape but I can't speak for him sending them out. He needs to post on here himself about them.
 
Rob.... I must be slipping.... I just realized your point, and you are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! You, above ALL, should know what it feels like to have unsubstantiated threads posted against you! For that, I apologize! Your Point is well taken and agreed to!

Had David posted the pictures in his FIRST post.... I doubt we would be having this discussion, but, he didn't.... and, you're right, it was OUR fault for jumping all over Aaron on David's word alone! No offense, David!

But, since the pictures are here now?? What do you think??? Even without Aaron posting.... it's kinda cut and dry, don't you think??

BE CAREFUL

The problem is you received merchandise, you cancelled your own shipment, and now your contemplating keeping the damaged goods. Meanwhile the shipper could very easily sue you. Their are no written transaction other than a possible trade. Regardless of how the animals arrived, you accepted the shipment. I am sure everything you said was true and accurate, but your arguing out of a position of weakness considering that the shipper can claim fraud. As far as he may be concerned, he met his obligation with you and you reneged on the deal. A very sticky situation when trading with people you dont know. JERRY TRESSER
 
I've seen better looking dead geckos in petco. That's disgusting.


However I agree you are in a sticky situation legally... hope everything works out okay. And I'm glad I know of someone to avoid... ick
 
personally after seeing the pics all shipping costs incured sould be covered by mpi.i dont think keeping them out right is ok but holding them untill shipping is paid for would be in this case.

rob ,common man u wouldnt send any thing out that looked like that,mabey you should talk with your bud he might listen to you.

You got my point exactly. This would have never come up in the first place had pictures been posted first. I applogize if I sounded like I was being a total ass, but after some of the post that were made about me that were totally false I don't want to see anyone have to go through that. I see the pictures and I agree they are not healthy looking animals and I personally would never send anything out that looks like that. I have written to Aaron about them and told him the same thing. I hope this situation can be resolved in a fashion to make everyone happy.
 
ok...he has not repleyed to me about this yet..it just happened this morning...i got them in about 9:30 am i live in SC so it was about 6:30 am his time in CA..so my shipment was still at airborne's warehouse...

The geckos look terrible. From my perspective Jerry is right, and I would probably keep them just until I get the money for the return shipment, then send them back.

David, did AE shipped the snakes back to you from CA? If so, who is going to pay for that double shipping? Because from what you have told us, AE will charge you for the shipping of the snakes both ways.

ok...jerry i am not contemplating keeping these geckos...my other post was very clear they will be sent back..as far as shipping it is costing me 150.00 dollars... 75 each way , these were not small burms...Rob i do see what your trying to say, this is my first bad post ever and i hope it don't happen again but if it does i'll send pics with the first post, also who is aaron, the guy i was dealing with is Gavin Alexander Hammock

IT JUST LOOKS BAD

I am sure your intentions are honorable, and keeping the geckos alive is the best thing to do. However, you now have assumed complete responsibility for the entire shipment, and the shipper as evil as he may be, may no longer want to assume any liability on the items in question. As far as he is concerned, he met his end of the deal when you accepted the shipment. You on the other hand had your items cancelled by taking your shipment back. He can place a monetary amount on the items he shipped you and legally bill you for those items. This is where you become vulnerable. I understand, the cost involved in shipping back, and I understand you have been ripped off in receiving inferior and poor quality animals, but his position is that he sent you the animals in excellent condtion, and what you are complaining about is not what he sent you, and in fact you ripped him off by not sending him anything. As far fetched of a story as I ve just mentioned, I would not put it past him to use this as his basis for suing you. JERRY TRESSER
 
Those pics are hard to look at. I would love to hear this guys explanation for sending animals to someone in that condition (I can't imagine what his excuse could possibally be. )
This guy should refund the $150 you paid for shipping your snakes. Then, he should allow you to either ship the geckos back to him collect or give you the geckos since he is unwilling or unable to provide them with the care they deserve.
It would be hard to imagine that these geckos could be rehabbed to the point where they could survive shipping by Monday. If he decides to do the right thing and let you keep those poor things free of charge...get a fecal done (they are probably loaded with coccidia among other things).
I'm far from an expert when it comes to leopard geckos but aren't blizzards supposed to be white? It looks like a dog sh*t in that snow :)

hey Jerry ..i do understand what your saying but i deal with the law enforcement here in my city and was told that the ASPCA could be informed of this and charges of animal cruelty could be involved, so i don't think he would do that

I was just kidding with my last post. Those are blizzards...just not very attractive ones. They will probably be much more attractive after they're brought back from death's door.
