i see where you are coming from as far as trading long term projects or whatnot . the morph snake market is the same way except you have to raise the boa from babies to adults three years minimum? if a trade is done and both parties feel secure and happy with it more power to em. it comes down to what one is interested in and what they arent interested in. for me not so much about the money i can make i mean yeah i hope to breed these guys and have some pretty babies and sell some but right now i am having a load of fun with eggs LOL and incubation. anywho on with the discussion at hand-

Ive seen more than enough, up to this point, to draw my own opinion of MPI. I would know when I opened a box containing those gecks that I was most likely going to get screwed. I dont know which is worse, not knowing they werent healthy, or not caring if they were healthy.
MPI also has had quite a few chameleon adds up over the past few weeks. Not to say geckos are real easy to care for, but they are sure as hell allot easier to care for than chams. I wonder what they would arrive looking like. I, fortunately, will never see any coming from MPI.

He just hides behind Robs attempts to help defend him (without defending him). If anything It casts a shadow on Robs unblemished reputation. I wouldnt claim to even know this guy. Instead he attempts to start other threads to cloud this deal instead of grabbing the bull by the horns and facing his mistake and taking a quite small loss and making this right. Anything to show he is not the scum he has let himself be portrayed. Yes, no matter how you are justifying it to yourself MPI, you f***ed up.

I have read threw this thread, and found that some of you do not really care what I have to say. You have already convicted me. The funny thing is that none of you that are saying bad things have ever done any business with me. In fact I challenge anyone besides Mr. Pollard who has had a bad experience with me to come forward. If I ship sick animals like claimed then I have no ethics, and there has to be someone besides Mr. Pollard who I have done this sort of thing to. Come on, this thread has been read by lots of people, and I do a lot of transactions. How come no one else has been compelled to come forth and tell his or her story of a bad transaction with me? Maybe that is because I have always taken care of my customers, and I do not ship sick animals. In fact I ship a lot of animals that are a lot unstable than Leopard Geckos. I ship chameleons all of the time, and have not had any problems so far. It seems to me that you would have heard something bad about me before this. Word of problem dealer’s spreads very quickly in this business. Regarding this situation, I am not sure it matters what I say. Some of you have already convicted me. Every time I have posted I have been torn apart by people who do not know me, or have even heard anything about me. I have been called a liar, a crook, and an animal abuser on this thread, again by people who have done absolutely no verification of my character. There have been a few of you that have shown objectiveness, and have not formed an opinion yet, but there have also been some who have shown absolutely no objectivity. For those who have convicted me in their minds it is not going to matter what evidence I present, or how many references of my charter I can provide, I will still be guilty. If I provide the photos taken of the animals before I shipped, I will be accused of air brushing them, or taking them months ago. It is a catch 22 for me. When I tell my side of the story I am called a liar and my words are twisted around. If I do not respond, you guys say I must be guilty and I am too afraid to deal with this problem. You see for some of you it doesn’t matter what I say because I have been fed to the sharks and now they are in frenzy. The bottom line in this matter is that I am saying I didn’t ship him sick animals.

Ok. First off, no one cares about your references or past deals here. We're talking about the situation at hand. You're now saying those geckos weren't sick when you shipped them? Are these the geckos that you shipped? If they are, I don't know how you can say they weren't sick when you shipped them, because the dead ones are in there, and they are freshly dead. So, are you saying he got them in this condition? Or, are you saying those aren't the geckos that you shipped? And please try to stay on topic. It doesn't matter that we haven't done business with you. We've been given some information, and so far we have been presented with absolutely nothing that shows you are not at fault here. We have been shown PLENTY that shows you are. If you have some evidence that shows otherwise, please submit anything that shows you're a good guy here.

Aaron, alot of people read these threads and remain silent, waiting till the end to determine how much "weight" to put on claims made by the individual starting the thread. You say you shipped healthy geckoes, you also say the geckoes in the picture are very sick( they are all dead or nearly dead, I do not think they will survive). Are you saying that he is trying to pull a switch? Are you saying that he is being dishonest? Those aren't the geckoes that he recieved from you? Seems funny that you would not make those claims much earlier(if that is what you are saying). Did you ship THOSE geckoes?

David posted his first pic the day he received the gecks from you. Anybody with any knowledge of reptiles knows they dont get that way overnight.
I think the post including the Wynona Rider reference hit home with me. I dont remember who wrote that, but its true. Just because she had made many purchases in which she paid, doesnt make her innocent the time she got caught. Futhermore, do you think when she goes into stores from now on, she wont be watched like a hawk? Of course she will. You would watch her around your stuff too.

You are right a photo does say a 1000 words. This was taken Tuesday morning. These are the actual breeders that were shipped. Oh by the way, they were marked by me personally. I mark my animals because I have heard from the bigger guys out there that it is best to do so. Now I know why they said that. Not one of the ones you sent back to me had my mark on it, but they were the animals in your photo. Three were dead now, and the rest were very sick. The four that made the trip are loaded with coccidia and I started treatment today. I probably can still save them. I had to be 100 % sure what was going on before I made a real move. You have effectively used this message board to make me look like a very bad herper. From day one I should have maintained those were not my animals, but I felt that if I indicated that then you might of found the marks on the animals and altered the only way I could have been 100% sure. Next time you pick up my animals, look at them very closely and know that you didn't trick at least one person. You may have the people on this message board fooled, but we both know what happened. I have to give you this much, what you did was very clever, and I am still having a hard time believing it myself. For all of you that think that my past references are not important, I would tell you are flat out wrong. They show a consistent pattern of behavior that establishes my character. I would strongly suggest that you take a close look at this photo, and then contact my references. I do not, nor have I ever shipped sick animals. I had to decide what I was going to do about this whole situation before releasing this info. I have consulted my attorney and have been advised of my obligations. You will be receiving your package on Tuesday and I will count my losses having learned a valuable lesson.

Some of the sick geckos he has, conveniently die the day Aaron shipment arrives. He takes ictures of them. He then ships back some sick geckos without knowing that Aaron geckos have a secret ID system and that he also take pictures of every animal before shipping it out.

Aaron, You are absolutely right. You should have maintained those were not your animals you shipped him from the start. You could have even posted the pics too. The mark info could have been held onto until you received the gecks from David to further prove your innocence to everybody. You still could have saved face and not been any worse off financially than you are now. If all that is true, the fact remains you didnt respond correctly to the accusations. None of us still will know which one of you is lying. Only time will tell. If you are being truthful, that has to be one of the most thought out schemes I have heard of, and allot of people, including myself, owes you an appology. It scares me, and should scare anybody selling reptiles on any level. The good news is that the scam wont work again.
